Leo POV

I grinned with Phoenix as we walked with West.

“So. You knew our mum?” I asked, bursting with questions.

He hesitated, and nodded. “Very well. She was a sixth year at Hogwarts when I was a first year. She kept an eye out for me.

“I don’t mean to be rude, but, uh…Your accent?” Phoenix asked softly.

“I know,” he smiled. “Why is the strange American man taking me into a magic school?” he asked sarcastically, chuckling. “I came here when I was 11, been here ever since.”

“What about our mum?” She asked again, moving to walk closer to West. He pinched the bridge of his nose, and sighing.

“Look, you two,” he said stopping and looking down at us. “I want to tell you everything. I really do. But there are some things that have to wait until you are older, ok?”

I nodded, knowing he was telling the truth.

“Where are we going? Where is this magic school anyways? Is it on Mars? I’m going to go to a magic school on Mars!” I yelled, grinning.

“It’s not on Mars,” West sighed. I pouted, trying hid the grin that was forming. “But, you do get to go to London for your school stuff,” he offered. I grinned again, and saw Phoenix giggling as she walked next to me.

“What?” I asked.

“I…I just feel like this has to be a dream,” she said, looking up at West. I grinned, and pinched her arm.

“Ow!” She yelped, jumping. “What was that for?” she asked, rubbing her upper arm.

“You thought you where dreaming, I proved you weren’t,” I smirked at her.

When Phoenix got mad, her nose scrunched up, and the top of her lip curled under, like she was a dog bearing it’s teeth. She made that face at me, and pinched my shoulder.

“Ow!” I rubbed my arm, and glared at her.

“If I didn’t know any better, I’d think I was looking at your mother and your father next to me.” West chuckled. “Ok, now, you both have to hold onto my arms, tightly, don’t let go,” he ordered softly.

I grabbed left arm, and Phoenix his right. I sent her a smile, and winked at her.

Then, I felt like I was being squeezed through a very small tube, and pushed through by my stomach. whooped from the twirling feeling, and was still laughing as I was thrown onto the cobblestones of a street.

“Wow…This isn’t London,” Phoenix said dreamily, looking around.

“Nope,” West said happily. I looked up at him, and the blue sky.

He couldn’t be more than 22, 23 at the oldest.

“This, Leo and Phoenix, is Diagon Ally!” He said with a dramatic movement of his arms.

“Wow,” I laughed. “Bloody hell…This is amazing!” I yelled, throwing my bag up and catching it. Phoenix was grinning, and stroking the feathers of a white owl. It hooted, and lightly nipped her fingers. She giggled, and was spinning around the streets, bumping into people, but the look on her face was so blissful, they couldn’t be mad at her.

“Come on! Keep up!” West said, waving the stick he had, his wand I guess, at us and our bags flew over our heads to a building at the end of the street.

We ran to where West had stopped. He flattened his hat again, and was digging around in his pockets.

“Enter stranger, but take heed Of what awaits the sin of greed For those who take but do not earn, Must pay most dearly in their turn, So if you seek beneath our floors A treasure that was never yours, Thief, you have been warned, beware Of finding more than treasure there.” Phoenix said quietly. I followed her gaze, and read the sign over the door in bronze. I smiled.
