Phoenix POV
Trinket was grinning as she, and Lupin put it, miss-used her abilities. She was using the Mobilicorpus spell, the thin ropes binding around Snape's wrists, neck and knees so he was standing. She had her other hand out, palm toward Snape and a grin on her face. My mum had telekinetic abilities.
And she was using them to make Snape dance and twirl like a ballerina.
When he did a pierrot, I couldn't hold in a giggle. She looked over at me and grinned. "This is the most fun I've had in years."
"Waverly," Lupin hissed, grabbing her hand that was out towards Snape and pushing it to her side. Snape stopped dancing, hit his head on a table as he fell down, and landed with his legs splayed out in, for him, would be a completely unnatural angle.
"Eesh," Waverly said under her breath, pulling him back to his feet. "He'll feel that tomorrow." I smiled a bit. It was hard to be angry with her.
"Sirius," Lupin called as he used a spell to bind Pettigrew's wrist to his so he couldn't escape. "Help Harry with Ron, would you?"
Both Ron and Harry glared at Black as he walked over. He muttered instructions under his breath, and when everyone was settled, both Harry and Ron where walking easier. I followed them, walking close behind Harry, with Trinket and the unconcerns Snape behind me and Hermione-clutching Crookshanks tightly-next to me.
"You know what this means?" Black asked suddenly, looking over Ron's head at me and Harry. "Turning Pettigrew in?"
"You're free." Harry said flatly.
"Yes...Harry, I'm not sure if anyone's told you, but I'm your-"
"Godfather." Harry finished for him. "Yeah. I knew that."
"...Your parents appointed me and Waverly to be your guardians, should anything happen to them." Black said, an implying tone in his voice. Harry looked confused as he looked at my father. "I can understand, of course, if you want to stay with your aunt and uncle-And Phoenix, you and Leo with West. But...Think about it...Once my name's cleared...If you wanted...A different home..."
"L-Live with you?" I asked quietly. "B-Be a family?"
"Leave the Dursleys?" Harry asked, a bit of rock in his hair from snapping his head up.
"I'd understand if you didn't want to. Waverly would to. Even thought she won't show it. I really would, I just thought I'd-"
"Are you insane?" Harry asked, his voice cracked from the sudden raised octave. "Of course I want to leave the Dursleys! Have you got a house? When can I move in?"
My father looked at Harry in shock, his gray eyes widened in surprise. He glanced at me, and I nodded slightly. "I-I don't know about Leo-"
"You want to? You both want to? You mean it?" I heard Trinket say behind us. I looked over my shoulder at her as I nodded slightly. She smiled. It wasn't a big smile, but it was completely free from all hints of a smirk or cockiness. My dad on the other hand, was full out grinning. The action completely transformed his face from the gaunt, vampiric, stoic face it had been, to a younger looking, happy young man with a true smile on his face. He looked like he did in the picture Harry showed me.
