Leo POV
"He’s a wizard. An Animagus, by the name of Peter Pettigrew."
“Are you bleedin’ mad?” I asked, laughing humorlessly at the end. I was tired of all of this. I just wanted dear old dad to crawl back into the hole he came from , and possibly take our ‘mum’ with him.
“You three are mental!” Ron said loudly at the same time Hermione weakly said ‘Ridiculous!’ and Harry quietly said several curse words.
“Peter Pettigrew is dead!” Harry shouted a second later. “He-” he paused for a second to point at Black accusingly, “-killed him twelve years ago!”
“I meant to...” Black mumbled. “But little Peter got the better of me...Not this time!” He finished with a hiss as he lept up and lunged at Scabbers, still in Ron’s outstretched hands.
Ron let out a yelp in pain as Black’s full weight fell on his broken leg.
“No Sirius!” Trinket yelled, leaping towards her husband, grabbing his ratty robe and yanking him back.
Harry, Phoenix and Hermione were around Ron, who was clutching his leg in pain. Lupin had moved to stand between the huddled group of my friends and the crazed married couple on the other side of the room. I was leaning on the wall by the headboard of the bed. With so many people in the room, all moving so quickly, it felt like the four walls were slowly getting closer together, closing us in.
“Control yourself Sirius,” Lupin snapped. “You can’t just do that like that-they need to understand-we’ve got to explain-”
“We can explain afterword!” Black snarled, leaning away from his wife who still had a strong grip on his collar, still trying to pull him back.
“They-have-the right-to know-everything.” Trinket panted out as she struggled to keep Black away from my friends, well, the stupid rat Ron held. “Damn, either you got stronger in prison, or I got weaker!”
“Good God Sirius! Listen to her!” Lupin bellowed at Black, who was still trying to break out of ‘mum’s’ grasp, one had was clawing the air like Scabbers would somehow become in his reach. “Ron’s kept him as a bloody pet! There are parts even Waverly and I still don’t understand yet! And the children-Harry-You owe Harry the truth!”
I fought the urge to snort in derision. I loved Harry like he was my own brother, but Sirius Black owed me and Phoenix a hell of alot more before he could even fathom owing Harry a thing.
“Explain.” I heard Phoenix say quietly. Everyone stopped and looked at Phee. “Please.”Black’s struggling slowly until he was standing still. I got off the wall and stood closer behind my sister, glaring at our ‘parents.’
