Hey there!

Sorry this took so long, I went to visit family in Michigan for the Fourth of July, and the hotel we where at didn't have Wi-Fi. :(

Also, one of my friends got me hooked on Supernatural...I don't think I need to say anything else about that.

Well, here I am, updating again now!

This is a bit short...Just not in the writing mood now I guess. Sorry :(...

By the way, I swear, this is going somewhere. I swear. :)

Gonna say....Hm...45 votes, 30 comments.

Enjoy!

Phoenix POV

"Uh...Professors?" Hermione asked timidly, making both Trinket and Lupin look at her. "Can-Can I say something?"

"This isn't class Hermione," Trinket said with a slight laugh. "You don't have to ask to speak."

"W-Well...If Mr. Black-Sirius didn't use Dark Magic, how did you get out of Azkaban?" She asked quietly.

"Thank you! Oh, sweet, intelligent girl thank you!" Pettigrew said quickly, frantically nodding. "Exactly! How did he-"

Trinket glared at the short man, who stopped talking instantly. While Black was frowning slightly as he looked at Hermione. Not like he was angry with her, but like he was thinking very hard. Leo got the same crease between his eyebrows when he thought very hard about something.

"A good question that I do not know the answer to." He finally said, slowly. "I don't know how I did it. I believe the only reason I didn't louse my mind was that I knew I was innocent. That wasn't a happy thought, so the dementors couldn't suck it out of me...But it kept me sane, aware of who I am...It helped me keep my magic, helped me be able to transform into a dog in my cell...Dementors can't see, you know..." He paused, clearing his throat. "They feel people off their emotions..My feelings where...less human to them, less complex. They must have thought I was lousing my mind like the rest of them."

I saw Trinket, who was leaning on the wall, was looking down, playing with the three rings on the silver chain around her neck. Her wand was in her pocket, and her other hand was gripping the side of her sweatshirt with a white knuckle grip.

She didn't like hearing about Black's time in Azkaban.

"I was weak, very weak. But you see I was the only one who know Pettigrew was alive, at Hogwarts..." He stopped, clenching his jaw shut and staring me and my four friends who had all moved to the side fo the bed where Ron was again laying down because of his leg.

"Why would that matter?" Leo asked suddenly.

Black paused, looking at Leo in confusion. "I don't understand-"

"Why would it matter if he-" Leo's voice rose in anger, and he pointed to Pettigrew, who flinched when he did. "-Was at Hogwarts?"

"Leo-" Trinket started.

"NO!" Leo yelled. I saw his hands shaking from how angry he was. With everything he was hearing, and the undeniable truth of...Well, most of it, he still couldn't grasp the fact that our parents actully cared about us...

Or maybe I was just holding onto my dream of a family to tight.

"No," Leo said, calmer now, shaking his head slightly.
