[5] ABUSE - Feb 27 2021

Jungkook and Jimin were classmates in college and soon became lovers. They moved in together once they graduated college. They both got decent jobs. Everything was good with them, that was till Jungkook lost his job

And then Jungkook changed

He could see people appreciating Jimin more - commanding on how the smaller was capable of managing a household and providing for Jungkook as well. Jungkook starts to hate himself and starts drinking to mask his pain and ego.

And then he starts abusing Jimin - both verbally and physically. All due to his own self  hatred of not being able to achieve what he wanted to in life

Jimin was with him. Jimin understood Jungkook's pain. Jimin knew how much of a competitive mind Jungkook had. How much the taller man wanted to prove to the world that he was the best. Jimin understood that it would be killing the boy and so he never told anyone anything and he suffered everything for the sake of his love. Jungkook had lost his parents early on in life and that was one of the reason for his competitive nature - the need to survive in the cruel world. And Jimin being his only family now, didn't want to leave him, no matter what he had to go through

Jungkook was jealous of Jimin's success.

Jimin lost his smile. Jimin started having visible bruises that he couldn't cover with makeup 

And it didn't take long for people to understand the situation at home. But no matter how much their friends try to convince him, Jimin doesn't leave Jungkook

"You fcking slut! You had fun hugging him didn't you… you let him feel you up so close…" Jungkook is half drunk as he throws the wine bottle to the wall, when Jimin entered the house 

"He is married with 2 kids Jungkook…" Jimin sighs as he starts cleaning up the mess 

"As if married people can't have affairs! Are you cheating on me? Because I'm not good enough now!" Jungkook pulls Jimin and slams him against the wall

Jimin gasps at the force. A tear rolls down his cheek

"I love only you Jungkook…" 

"Love? Or sympathy!" Jungkook slaps the boy "...I want to kill that man for touching you…"

Jimin stops him, his lips were bleeding "...I'm your punching bag .. release your frustrations on me... be happy ... I love you…" and then Jimin faints 

Jungkook panicked seeing the boy faint. It was the first time Jimin collapsed in front of him.

Jungkook takes Jimin to the hospital and as he waits for the doctor, he ponders on everything that has happened. 

Jimin could have died. I would have lost Jimin forever. I'm the reason why he is here. He didn't deserve that. I don't deserve him. Why did you stay Jimin? You should have left when you had a chance. Why didn't you report me for abuse? Why did you fall for a bstrd like me?

Jungkook apologizes to Jimin once the boy wakes up.

"Let's break up" Jungkook says and walks away

Jimin was left broken. He didn't want Jungkook to leave. He was afraid of what would happen to the taller boy now

Jungkook blocked Jimin's contact and so Taehyung calls the boy to let him now that Jimin wouldn't stop crying for the man

Jungkook speaks to Jimin to calm him down 

"Stop crying… you don't look good when you cry.." Jungkook says softly and Jimin's crying turns into quieter sobs 

"I want to see you Jungkook… when are you coming back…"

"Soon baby…… I will be home later so get some good sleep by then…"

"You are coming home?! Really?" Jimin is excited 

Jungkook's voice wavered "...y-yea…"

"TRAIN TO SEOUL DEPARTING NOW!"

"Jimin I will call you later okay…"

There was silence at the other end before a soft heart broken voice says 

"You are not coming back...are you?"

The call disconnects

Both of the men let out a heart wrenching sob at the reality of things 

I'm doing this for you... for us ...please forgive me

Jungkook goes into a rehabilitation facility. He wanted to become better for Jimin. He wanted to understand why he did what he did to the one he loved. 

It took him 3 years of medication and therapy to finally come to forgive himself and make it up to Jimin 

By then he was afraid Jimin might already be with someone

He walks to their old apartment just to catch a glimpse of Jimin, if he was still living there that is. 

He smiles when he sees Jimin standing down the building but his smile disappears when a kid runs towards him and hugs his legs. The kid looked almost  2 and Taehyung joined the two

It broke his heart to see that Jimin had finally moved on. Jimin looked happy 

He didn't want to disturb them but if he didn't apologize now then maybe he would never have the guts so he approaches them 

"Jimin… Taehyung…"

Their eyes widen when they see the man finally in front of them after 3 years 

Jimin immediately ran to Jungkook, jumping on him and holding onto him for dear life

"You are back! You are finally back!" Jimin sobbed

Jungkook couldn't help but sob as well. He missed Jimin. But more than that, how could this innocent angel still miss him this much..after everything he put Jimin through?

"I missed you!" Jimin cries

"I missed you too…" Jungkook's voice wavers 

"I guess you guys need to talk…" Taehyung interrupts them "... I'm taking Taeseokie home…" Taehyung picks up the kid and before he leaves he says to Jungkook "...I looked after him like I promised…"

Jungkook hugs the boy in front of him as he apologizes for everything he put Jimin through 

Jimin didn't want to hear anything. He just wanted his Jungkook back and now that he was, Jimin felt content 

"I love you Jungkook...please don't leave me again"

"I don't plan to… I love you too Jimin…" Jungkook says kissing the boy's forehead "...thank you for accepting me again…"
