Jungkook and Jimin were classmates in college. Jungkook, even though he was an alpha, has always been kind and sweet towards omega Jimin.

The omega was quite sought after by many alphas at their college but Jimin chose Jungkook in the end. Many people had given him courting gifts with expensive jewelry and designer wears but Jungkook was the only one who got him Busan treats as a courting gift and the omega readily accepted the alpha - it was a simple yet thoughtful gift according to the omega

It made Jimin confident that Jungkook understood him and no matter what the alpha wouldn't leave him

Jungkook did understand the omega but did Jimin understand the alpha?

The omega has always been a bit self centered. It came with knowing how much people wanted him to be theirs. That overconfidence made Jimin arrogant. Jimin took Jungkook's love and his silence for granted.

They often had misunderstandings which came from Jimin not wanting to compromise on anything, making the alpha have to give up on his preferences to make his omega happy

But will Jungkook be able to take the insensitive nature of Jimin towards him? Is his love for the omega strong enough to forgive all the emotional stress and hurt Jungkook had to go through?

"So now she is more important to you than me huh? You couldn't even answer my calls..." Jimin says as soon as Jungkook enters the apartment

The two had been living together for a few months now

Jungkook is upset. He is so tired from weeks of extra hours at work - he was doing that to get Jimin that Jeju trip the omega wanted to go to, along with the resort and spa - and that involved impressing his clients

"....I was doing it for you...for us..." Jungkook mumbles tiredly

"....I also expect you to answer your damn phone!" The omega continues his lecture

Jimin removes his ring and slams it on the table "I don't want this if you don't have time for me!"

Jungkook stares at the ring, his heart literally breaking into two

"Now you have nothing to say huh?!" Jimin frowns at the alpha's silence

"What are you.. " Jimin follows Jungkook's eyes to see the alpha looking hurt and disappointed at the promise ring kept on the table. It was a ring the two had gotten each other a couple of weeks back as a promise to each other

Jimin gulps when Jungkook calls up Taehyung, asking the other alpha if he could stay over

"No.. no... I'm sorry..." Jimin feels hurt seeing Jungkook's dejected face

"Please.... I promise..." Jimin stops the alpha

"....you just broke your promise..." Jungkook tilts his face sadly at the ring "....you always break your promises..."

"Please stay... please please...." Jimin is crying - they have had fights before, just like any other normal couple, but Jungkook never continued it and let Jimin win. Jimin was never afraid to lose the alpha, but this time, the omega was afraid

The alpha could never stand the omega crying and so he stays, but in the guest room

Usually Jungkook wakes up early and cooks for both of them but today Jimin woke up first because he never slept in the first place, spending the night googling YouTube recipes. The omega was determined to win back Jungkook's trust in him

Jimin slowly starts taking care of the alpha. It was almost always the alpha taking care of Jimin and buying the omega sweet gifts but now, the tables turned. Jimin realised that he shouldn't take anyone for granted. He knew because of his behavior he would drive away the one person who meant the world to him

Jungkook is still distant, though. Quiet and doesn't talk as much as he used to - making Jimin miss the alpha terribly

Jimin gave Jungkook his freedom - as in the alpha going out without the omega stopping him like before

"...Jungkook ah... Please come home for dinner... I will make your favorite...." Jimin says

"I'm sorry but I promised the guys I would play overwatch... I don't think I will get home for dinner..." Jungkook apologizes before leaving

Jimin let's out a loud sob as he sat on the bench in the balcony. The omega sighed as he watched the night sky

I hurt him. I deserve this.

Jimin chuckles as he hums out a song - the lyrics which he came up with on the spot in his sadness - a promise

Since when did you start hurting me?

And then Jimin broke down crying as he hugged his knees and buried his head in his lap

I'm sorry Jungkookah... I should probably let you go.... but I can't

Jimin gasps when he feels his alpha's arms wrapping around his shivering self - the familiar warmth and comforting scent making him feel overwhelmed and he immediately starts sobbing at that

"Shush.." Jungkook tries to calm the omega down "....I love you.. I'm not hurting anymore..." the alpha pulls away to cup the omega's face "....because you are mine..."

Jimin bits his lips, trying to control his sobs "...I'm sorry... I'm sorry for always putting you s-second in our r-relationship..."

"I know you are...." Jungkook wipes the boy's tears "....I can see how much you are trying to make everything okay again... Jimin, my omega... you already have my heart.... the efforts you are putting now in our relationship is more than enough to prove to me that you really love me.... I want nothing else from you other than your trust and love for me... I love you so much my omega..." Jungkook pecks the omega's forehead

"I love you too my alpha..." Jimin hugs the alpha tightly "....thank you for giving me a second chance..."

"Let's keep our promise this time..." Jungkook says, lifting up the omega's hand and placing soft kiss against the promise ring Jimin wore again
