Jimin and Jungkook were in the same friend circle in college seeing that their close friends were dating. They never really interacted with each other directly, except when Jungkook would reach out to help the omega's clumsy self. The alpha was relatively quiet around him with a neutral expression. Jimin had heard that Jungkook was very playful and wild but he never got to see that

The alpha's presence always fastened his heart rate. Jungkook had a unique scent that drove Jimin crazy.

"Aaish!" Jungkook growled before he stormed off to his room and didn't come out the entire night

Jimin felt bad. Did Jungkook hate him that much?

But the truth was the alpha really loved his omega. Jungkook was just afraid to be himself around the omega. He was afraid he would force Jimin against his will and so he kept his distance. He wanted to keep Jimin's innocence as long as he could.

6months pass without them even knowing.

Jungkook comes home early that day. He had to pack to go on a 2 day business trip to Daegu. It was the chance of a lifetime to bag this client. Jungkook was excited. If the meeting went well then he could cross out the things he wanted in his bucket list, career wise.

But when he enters the house, he is hit by the scent of Jimin's heat. His alpha instincts kick in, urging him to mate with his omega. Jungkook doesn't want to take advantage of Jimin that way but just to be sure he goes in to check up on Jimin and he sees the omega shivering with a high fever.

The both of them never experienced rut or heat after marriage. They both took heat and rut suppressors but this time the suppressors didn't work and it led to Jimin having a fever along with his heat.

Jungkook's heart hurt seeing the boy whimpering in his sleep. Jungkook calls up and cancels the meetings he has with his client, who was very displeased with the alpha's lack of professionalism but did Jungkook care? No. Why? Because his omega needed him

Jimin was so weak that he couldn't build a nest for himself and so the alpha helped. Jungkook took care of the omega for an entire day before the symptoms subsided. The alpha ran Jimin, a cold bath and helped him with it. He cleaned up the omega's slicky butt with a wet towel. Jungkook had to control his urges to not attack the weak omega. He didn't want to do anything even if Jimin begged him to mate him. Jungkook knows it was just his heat talking. Whenever they did decide to mate then he wanted them both to want it in their conscious right minds

It took two days for Jimin to get out of his dizzy zone. That's when Jimin realised that the alpha took care of him. Jimin blushed

Jungkook hums with a soft smile "...are you sure you are okay now?"

Jimin nods and Jungkook takes their plates to wash them. Jimin was still a bit tired.

Jungkook's phone buzzes and Jimin takes it to hand it to the alpha, when he sees the messages pop up from Namjoon, his boss being sympathetic to Jungkook's decision to stay home instead of going to Daegu and take care of his omega

Jimin's eyes widen when he realises that Jungkook gave up an excellent and one of the biggest opportunities to take care of him instead.

"Why did you do that?" Jimin is crying when Jungkook re enters the living room from the kitchen. The alpha saw Jimin sitting on the couch, his phone in the omega's hands "...I would have called Tae or my mom for help... why did you do this... you worked so hard for this deal..." Jimin is upset

Jungkook sighs as he sits next to Jimin and holds his hands "...Nothing is more important to me than you"

Jimin eyes widen as he looks at the alpha

"I can get another deal anytime... but can I get another you? Is it worth compromising your pain for a job? No... and about you calling Taehyung or mom... you are not their responsibility anymore... you are mine, omega.. you belong to me... you are my responsibility and I won't let anyone take that away from me..."

"W-What are you saying?"

Jungkook smiles a little seeing Jimin's vulnerable look. It was like a child who was promised tons of candy but didn't believe it was true

"I'm saying..." Jungkook cups the omega's face "...I love you...my omega..."

A tear rolls down Jimin's cheek "...I love you too, my alpha..."

Jungkook kisses the omega's forehead before ghosting his lips over Jimin's neck

"Can I mate you and make you mine officially?"

"Y-Yes..." Jimin says and before he knows it, he is pulled into a passionate kiss by his cold alpha husband
