Jungkook and Jimin were in the same friend circle. They had met because Jimin's best friend Taehyung was dating Jungkook's close friends Yoongi and Hoseok. Jungkook was intrigued to meet the boy who melted both of his friends' hearts. Taehyung agreed to meet Jungkook but dragged along Jimin to give him moral support. The day that started with Jungkook wanting to know about Taehyung, ended up with him staring, gawking at and flirting with the smaller boy, who according to Jungkook was an angelic kitten in human form.

Jungkook and Jimin started meeting each other initially as a group date which ended up with the other 3 leaving the 2 flirty people alone. Though they weren't boyfriends or officially dating, everyone knew the two were off limits.

One year after knowing each other, Jimin plans to confess at the new year's party coming up at Yoongi's house. Jungkook also was planning the same, however he got called to attend a meeting on the morning of 31st December in Seoul. He had booked the flight back to Busan for the evening of 31st, so as not to miss his friend's new year party, which Jimin would attend as erll.

Unfortunately everything didn't go as Jungkook had hoped. It started snowing in Seoul and all flights on the 31st were canceled.

Jimin saw the news on TV and decided to call the man, just to confirm whether Jungkook would be coming or not but Jungkook's mobile was switched off. That makes the boy depressed.

Jimin had planned to decorate the rooftop balcony at Yoongi's place and confess to Jungkook finally as the countdown starts and then kiss as they enter the new year together. But now all of that was just a dream.

Jimin pouts as the time rolls by, everyone around him were next to their partners, all ready to kiss and welcome the new year

Jimin goes to stand at the balcony when the countdown starts, away from the actual celebrations. Jungkook's mobile was still off

Jungkook-ah.. I miss you... I miss you so much...I wish you were here holding me...it feels so unreal to start the new year without you...I wish you could at least answer your phone...at least that way I could start my new year on the hope that you would be mine

Suddenly, Jimin finds himself being turned around harshly, his cheeks cupped by cold hands. Jimin had his eyes closed on reflex due to the force

"I'm sorry I'm late baby"

that voice.

Jimin snaps his eyes open and smiles as tears roll down his cheeks

"Happy new year!" Voices around them yell

Jungkook immediately pulls Jimin into a sweet kiss, a kiss filled with nothing but love and longing

"I thought you wouldn't come..." Jimin sniffles when Jungkook pulls away

"I could never miss it for the world" Jungkook smiles as he softly kisses Jimin's forehead

Jungkook had taken the train from Seoul to Busan. There were rumors that flights might be canceled so he took the train as soon as his meeting was done, just to be on the safer side. He didn't want to enter the new year without Jimin by his side

"I'm so glad you could make it..." Jimin smiles

"Me too... I love you so much"

"I love you too" Jimin smiles, digging his head into Jungkook's chest once the man pulls him into a warm hug

"I can safely say that you are my boyfriend, right?" Jungkook asks making Jimin giggle

"Only if you are mine"

Jungkook chuckles as he hooks a finger under Jimin's chin to make the boy look at him

"Beautiful... just beautiful..." Jungkook says making the boy blush and that makes the man coo "...aww my boyfriend is so cute"

Jimin blushes again as he shyly hides his face into Jungkook's chest "...only for you..."

Jungkook sighs content as the two hug each other and watch the fireworks, both entering the new year promising to be each other's for life.
