Jungkook and his parents lived in the states. It was his dream from when he was 10 years old to be a singer and performer. So by the age of 15 years, he convinces his parents to let him audition in Korea. Jungkook was quite talented and after a couple of months he was accepted to be a trainee at JYP. His parents remained in the states. After 1 year of his training he goes to visit his grandmother in Busan. He frequently visits her for the few weekends he gets a break, that's when he meets Jimin, his grandmother's neighbor. The boy was 2 years older to him and had just graduated high school. His grandmother loved Jimin like her own grandson, the boy had lost his parents in a car accident the year before. Jimin was one of the few neighbours who checked up on the old lady, bringing snacks and talking about various things. Jungkook and Jimin immediately hit it off. They liked each other and flirted back and forth which eventually led to them dating. They had been dating for 4 years now before it was time for Jungkook to debut.
