Jimin and Taehyung have been best friends ever since kindergarten. Taehyung had an elder brother Jungkook. He was 5 years older than them.

Jimin always looked up to the elder man. Jungkook was the one responsible for the two when their parents were busy.

Jimin had only his dad and basically the Jeon family growing up. Jimin's dad has always been tough on him and the only love he received was from Taehyung and in a way Jungkook

Jimin found Jungkook to be attractive and manly. Jimin had a tiny crush on the man but Jungkook seemed like he didn't care about feelings in general. Jungkook always put on a cold front but that came from being over protective of his naughty younger brother Taehyung and Taehyung's innocent cute friend Jimin.

Jungkook wasn't sure if Jimin knew it but the younger boy was really mesmerizing to anyone who laid eyes on him but due to his innocence there were many who wanted to ruin him and Jungkook always made sure to look out for the boy. Jimin was well aware of it - the protection he received from Jungkook all through his school life, even when Jungkook was in college

That only made Jimin fall for the man deeper.

Even if they didn't really interact more than a hi and bye and how's life treating you and their occasional conversations on mutual interests - Somehow Jimin felt they have a connection and so he decides to confess to Jungkook after talking to Taehyung about it, who was quite supportive of Jimin's decision

And so when Jimin goes to visit Taehyung over his college break at his house, he is nervous about the confession. That evening Jungkook asked Jimin to stay back for dinner. The three talk amongst each other for a while before Jungkook's phone rings

"Hey babe..." Jungkook says into the phone making Jimin's eyes grow wide

Jimin couldn't believe Jungkook had a lover. He was too late

Jungkook cuts the call after a few minutes

"Oh sorry that was my girlfriend..." Jungkook smiles looking at the two "...Jimin, you were saying something?" Jungkook looks at the boy who just wanted to cry

Before Jimin could say anything

Taehyung jumps in "...hyung, Jimin and I are dating...we have been best friends for a long time and since we love each other, we decided to give a new name to our relationship"

Jimin looked shocked at that but didn't dare to correct Taehyung

Jungkook felt his heart break but he managed a tight smile "...congrats!"

After dinner Taehyung apologizes to Jimin for the lie. He reassures that he just wanted to save Jimin from embarrassment. Jimin thanks him and excuses himself home but just as he turns to leave, Taehyung's words stop him

"...I meant every word I said to hyung... I do love you Jimin but I never did anything because I knew you loved hyung... but trust me Jimin, this time I'm not letting you go... I love you and I will make you fall for me... please give me a chance ..."

Jimin is surprised as he turns around to face the boy. Taehyung's face reflected his sincerity and anxiety. Jimin runs into Taehyung's arms seeing the boy look down sadly - Jimin really needed the comfort. His heart felt weak as he cried into the man's chest

They remained as friends, same as before - just this time Taehyung didn't hide his feelings anymore
