Jimin and Jungkook are in an arranged marriage.

They both didn't want to get married at that point of time but Jungkook, after seeing Jimin in person and hearing many stories of the boy's childhood from Jimin's mom, agrees to the marriage, thinking that they both will fall in love with each other eventually even if slowly. Jimin had a different idea though, he hated the thought of settling down for someone and didn't accept Jungkook as his husband.

They were made to marry without much thought for their family business.

Jungkook promised himself that he would take care of his tiny husband. He already accepted Jimin as his.

Jimin on the other hand, wanted his freedom.

Ever since their marriage, Jimin was cold towards the man and even slept in a different room. It broke Jungkook's heart that Jimin didn't want him as a husband but that doesn't stop the man from being the ideal husband for Jimin

Jungkook is the first to wake up and cook breakfast for them. Jimin still wants to believe that he is single and acts like it by avoiding the man, which makes Jungkook insecure about their relationship

Jungkook always ended up being hurt. Jimin avoided the man even in front of others at family gatherings but Jungkook would always justify Jimin's behavior to others

"He is just upset that I forgot about our date..." Jungkook laughs while talking to Jimin's dad at the party "...that's all... don't worry dad... he takes care of me well.."

Jungkook could see Jimin talking and laughing with Taehyung from a distance. Taehyung is Jimin's ex. Jungkook knows it because Jimin once compared Jungkook with Taehyung, saying that only Taehyung, his ex, understood him.

Jungkook sighs as he approaches the two, he didn't like Jimin being touchy with the other man.

"How's your married life going, soulmate?"

Jimin frowns "...don't talk about him and spoil my mood...he is so clingy and annoying... He is suffocating me"

Jungkook halts in his steps hearing that. It hurt. It hurt to hear those words from Jimin. It hurt to know that Jimin found his love suffocating

Hearing that, it finally broke Jungkook. He couldn't do it anymore. He thought he had a chance, he thought Jimin just needed time. He didn't know Jimin hated him

Jungkook left the party without a word to Jimin

After a while,

"Dad, where is Jungkook?"

"Oh, he didn't tell you? He had a call and had to meet a client"

"Why are you upset? I will drop you home after the party..." Taehyung offers and Jimin sighs

"No... I'm leaving... it's not the same without him around..." Jimin mumbles the last part

"Why do you act like you hate him when you don't?" Taehyung asks catching Jimin off guard

"I-I'm not acting... I hate him... he stole my freedom..."

"Okay... Other than that, do you have a reason to hate him? Besides he too was kinda forced to marry you... it's not like he had a choice either..."

"Well he..." Jimin is quiet. No, he didn't have anything else against the man. Jungkook was always taking care of him "...I have to go..."Jimin turns to leave when Taehyung stops him
