Jimin and Jungkook are classmates in high school.

Jimin was known for being a topper as well as a friendly person in general

Jungkook has always been to himself, keeping people at a distance and his life carried on so until Jimin noticed how talented he was - Jimin had seen the man's drawings one day by accident in the empty classroom - Jungkook had left the book on the desk absent-mindedly and the boy just happened to glance inside it on curiosity and had fallen in love with Jungkook's art. Jimin was curious about the artist and soon his interest grew for Jungkook. He wanted to know the man who expressed himself through art - his drawings showed forth lot of emotions

Jimin after that day constantly followed Jungkook to try to be his friend. Jungkook entertained the boy to an extent till Jimin started telling art teachers about Jungkook's skills and inadvertently made the man participate in many inter school art competitions.

After Jungkook won his first art competition, Jimin confesses to the man but he rejects him. Does that stop the boy from chasing Jungkook? No. In fact it made Jimin fight for Jungkook's attention more

"Hey buddy, I see Jimin got you your favorite brand of banana milk again huh?" Namjoon says after seeing the packet of milk with a cute ribbon "...you know those are hard to find..."

"Yea.." Jungkook sighs "...I wish he would stop though... it's getting annoying..."

"Why don't you tell him then? You never told him to stop what he has been doing.... you only rejected his confession..."

"I just don't want to hurt him, hyung"

And of course Jimin heard that

Jimin stops chasing behind Jungkook which confused the man

Jungkook looked up as Jimin walked towards him. Jungkook was ready for the good morning he heard everyday from the tiny boy but today Jimin just walked past him to his seat.

"Huh? What just happened?" Jungkook whispered to himself

Jungkook turned back to look at Jimin but the boy never once looked at him

Later at lunch

"Hey Jimin...join us?" Jungkook looks up to face the boy when Namjoon invites Jimin after the man saw that Jimin was avoiding Jungkook

"No... thank you... I know some people are not comfortable around me..." Jimin says looking at Namjoon, before walking away

Something in Jungkook broke - Yup, his heart.

And then suddenly a week later, Jimin stops coming to school. Jungkook later learns that Jimin moved to Seoul for his last year of school.

Jungkook was upset. He didn't realise that he had come to like the boy back. He felt suffocated somehow, it hurt not to see Jimin anymore, he was depressed but he couldn't do anything about it other than to pray that Jimin was alright and wouldn't forget him.

Jungkook kept visiting Jimin's house till his mom caught the boy and he had confessed he was missing Jimin. The mom had given Jungkook, Jimin's number but Jungkook didn't know where to even start

And so he decided to wait patiently for the boy's return

Then a year later, Jimin comes back to Busan.

Jimin is surprised when he finds Jungkook at his door. No one knew he was coming back other than his parents.

"Welcome back!" Jungkook exclaims and Jimin doesn't know how to react

His heart still beat like crazy for the man

"Come son..." Mrs Park invites the man inside and Jimin was definitely confused

Jimin later comes to know that Jungkook had been visiting his house and parents for the past year, asking them about him

Jimin didn't know if he had to be happy about it or sad that Jungkook never gave him the attention before

Jungkook tries his best to get Jimin to go on date with him ever since Jimin came back but the boy ignores him because he still feels hurt about what Jungkook had said before

Jungkook had to try harder

"What the... why are you shirtless?"

Jungkook chuckles seeing Jimin's reddened face. The man found it really cute

Jungkook was at Jimin's house like usual, helping Mrs Park with cooking or gardening. He had just gotten into Jimin's house to change his shirt in the washroom when Jimin walked in on Jungkook

"My shirt got dirty..." Jungkook says "...is it okay if I borrow your shirt?" The man points to the closet

"Fine!"

Later

When Jungkook gets out of the bathroom, Jimin confronts him

"Why are you really here, Jungkook? Is it really to help my mom?" Jimin asks making the man chuckle

"I never said anything about that... and do you really think I am helping your mom? She is helping me..."

"With what?" Jimin is confused

"With helping me win your heart"

"What?" Jimin's eyes widen

Jungkook sighs as he reaches out to hold Jimin's hands in his own

"I love you Jimin..." he says sincerely "....I'm so sorry for ignoring you and those things about you... I was just a fool for not realizing my feelings for you earlier..." Jimin looks at the man "....it's true what they say... that you don't realise the worth of a person until you lose them... I'm sorry for not regarding your feelings before..." Jungkook cups Jimin's face "...will you forgive me?"

Jimin smiles nodding his head

Jungkook smiles wide, "...will you... will you be my boyfriend?"

"I thought you would never ask!" Jimin jumps onto a surprised Jungkook who immediately hugs him back

"Yea I know right!?" Mrs Park states making them both embarrassed

"Mom!" Jimin whines making her walk away giggling

"Can you believe her?" Jimin pouts making Jungkook chuckle before his laughter stills

"I love you, Jimin ..." Jungkook cups Jimin's face

Jimin smiles slightly "...I love you too, Jungkook" he gasps feeling the man's breath tickle his lips
