Abby's POV

(A day or so later)

"Arg! Finally home!" I dropped down my bag on the table and took off my coat, hanging it on the coat wrack then took off my shoes

I flopped down on my couch and let out a big sigh. Today was a stressful day at work which wasn't really surprising cause most of the time it is but today was the worst 

All of the males: boys and man won't stop asking me if I want to go out on a date with them and with every said I kept replying with "No" either in a firm or polite tone and on top of all of that I had so much paperwork to do cause everytime I would leave my desk I would always see a brand new batch off papers for me to do

It was honestly really irritating! 

Thankfully tomorrow and the day after that are my day-off which are Saturday and Sunday and I could anything I want

I stood up from my couch and went over upstairs to the balcony where I usually smoke, when I reached into my pocket for my cigarette I felt something else in my pocket 

I pulled out the box of cigarette and...a piece of paper?

I unfold the piece of paper and inside was written a number of...

(Y/n) (L/n)! Shit! I had completely forgotten about her! 

I quickly grabbed the nearest telephone from me and dialed her number 

....."Hello?" 

"Hi! It's me. Abby, do you still remember me?"

"Oh hi, Abby! Of course, I remember you! How are you?" I sighed in relief, thankful that she remembers me 

"I'm doing great, now that I heard your wonderful voice"

"Oh you flatter me! You know, I really thought you wouldn't call me and just stood me up" she said with a chuckle 

"To a pretty girl like you? That would've been the biggest mistake I have ever made in my life!" I said optimistically and she chuckles again  

"Aren't you something else? Ashi! No! Wait-Don't!" (Y/n) yelled then I heard a clutter of things fall down "Ow..." I heard her mutter 

"(Y/n)? Are you okay? What happened??" I asked in a worried tone 

"Yeah, I'm okay...my cat just made a huge mess..." I then listened to (Y/n) and her cat meowing "Why are you such a troublesome cat, huh? No treats for you today, do you understand, Ashi?" I chuckled as I listened (Y/n) scolding her cat like her own child 

"Sorry you had hear all that mess" (Y/n) apologies 

"Oh no, dear. You don't have to be sorry. It was sweet and kinda funny hearing you scold your cat like your own child" 

"I know, some people find it weird when I do that to my cat but honestly, having pets were my only company and listener growing up" I frown when I heard the melancholy in her voice

"What about your parents?" 

"They died when I was still young and ever since then I was an orphan, I didn't like communicating back then and all I had were birds, dogs and cats as my friends"

"No one took you in?" 

"Not really, no...I...I-"

"It's okay, you don't have to tell me" I stopped her before she could even say anything because I could hear the pain and struggle in her voice. She stayed silent and I think that I should give her some space "I think I should leave you be and rest for a moment"
