Gwyn was not ashamed of being caught...she was instead, angry beyond belief.

Just as things became so intense and she had felt Azriel's rough fingers grazing up her thigh...they had to be interrupted.

Gwyn almost pulled the Shadowsinger back to her...to her lips.

She was throbbing..aching...so sweetly... and did not even care that they had an audience.

But Elain just stood there, mouth gaping, both her hands crossed over her chest.

"Resorting to fucking the bookkeeper, Az?" she bent her head.

Azriel pushed off the wall, moving towards the Archeron sister.

"This is none of your business, Elain."

"Wow, so now we know what you two were doing in Spring...while there is a severe curse to worry about?" she lifted a brow.

Now Gwyn was marching towards her.

"Azriel and I remained nothing but professional during that trip, we almost lost our lives, twice.."

"You think I believe you were in any way, shape or form, professional?" Elain laughed.

"Not after what I just witnessed...in an alley never the less.."

"I do not know why you have it out for me-" Gwyn started.

But Elain held up her hand, dismissing Gwyn like she was servant. "Let the adults speak, librarian."

Azriel was growling softly in his throat, "Do not speak to her like that."

Elain walked closer, "Oh, wow, her cunt has really put you in a spell."

Then she turned to Gwyn, pivoting right to her face, "The Shadowsinger will never show you love...his shadows will never allow it. He will just fuck you and leave.."

Anger pulsated through Gwyn's entire body, "How about you stop meddling in our personal lives and go water a plant."

In an instant, Elain had her hand out, ready to slap Gwyn.

But Azriel held her wrist in a death grip...firmly in the air....unmoving.

His movements were fueled by pure rage..his shadows were swarming in a frenzy.

No one spoke as Elain's arm was held by the Shadowsinger.

 "Don't you ever," he growled.

"Ever," he rasped."Lay a hand on her."

Azriel was trembling with fury and Gwyn went to stand beside him...to try to calm him down.

Elain was shuddering under his stare...her eyes were almost popping out of her sockets.

"Keep your mouth shut for once, Elain."

"And if I hear you spread false rumours or lies about what you have seen..."

"I am sorry," Elain interrupted in a squeal.

She was still shaking from Azriel's stare...on the verge of passing out from the fear.

He dropped Elain's wrist, and then he was storming out of the alley.

Gwyn followed him shortly after, leaving Elain on the street.

Azriel clenched his jaw as he slammed open the door to the townhouse. He began to pace in front of the fire place, turning to fill a drink in his shaking hand.
