Mika’s POV
“Mika!” I turn to see Leo coming towards me.
“Leo? I thought you were staying behind to help with the air force.” He shakes his head. I turn to him fully and wait for an explanation.
“I am, I was mapping out the layout. But that’s not what I wanna tell you.” Leo says quickly. I put my hands on my hips and nod for him to go on.
“I was walking about two streets away from here and you’ll never guess what I saw.”
“What?” I ask; Leo shakes his head again, smiling. He grabs my arm and starts dragging me forwards.
“You have to see it for yourself.” I sigh and let him lead me as I talk into my COM.
“I’m going to do some scouting, I have a potential sighting so I’m going to check it out.”
Rast instantly responds.
“Roger that, do you need back-up?” That’s Rast, always asking if he can help.
“Negative, I have Leo here with me.” I hear him sigh over the COM.
“Okay, radio if you need anything.” I roll my eyes at his silly worrying.
“Roger that, out.” I click my COM off and follow Leo.
“How far is it Leo?” I ask the fast moving figure in front of me.
“Just round this corner.” Then he disappears around the corner.
“Leo!” I shout and jog over to catch up with him. I turn the corner and stop still in my tracks. We’re on top of a little side hill, in front of us is impossible. Leo turns to me, a massive smile on his face.
“That’s not possible.” I breathe. Leo chuckles.
“Mika, I’d like to introduce you to a legend. Mika, welcome to The White House.” There it is, the building itself.
“But that was supposed to be destroyed by Robo when they first arrived.” I take a step forward.
“Well, it’s not as grand as it was, but it’s still standing.” Leo states. I snap out of my amazed faze.
“I’d heard that The Queen lived in there, but she obviously doesn’t. So who does?” Leo takes a step to me and we look at each other as I answer my own question.
“The Resistance.” Leo looks back at the magnificent building and I look back.
“We have to go tell the troops.” Leo nods and he starts walking back.
Suddenly, out of the corner of my eye something moves. I turn fully to The White House and look at where the movement came from. There, in a window on the second floor is a figure. Male, about 5’11, I can see his dark blonde hair in the sun. As I look closer I see that he’s watching me too. I should run away or shoot him but I can’t take my eyes off him, he seems familiar.
