Chapter 47 ~ Procedure 03012

The Queen’s POV

There’s a knock on the door and I instantly know its Mika. I would usually let her in myself but at this moment in time I’m afraid I can’t.

“Come in.” I say loudly and instantly regret it as my throat burns. I hear her footsteps and see her boots come around the corner. She gasps and I just see her kneel next to me on the floor before I black out again.

 

 

Mika’s POV

As soon as I walk in I know something’s wrong, I can feel it and when I walk around that corner and see her lying on the floor that feeling turns out to be right. I gasp and fall to my knees next to her.

“Your Majesty?” She doesn’t respond. She’s gone still and her eyes are closed. I don’t know what to do. I COM Rast, who picks up straight away.

“Hey.”

“Rast listen. I need your help. Something’s wrong with her. I don’t know what to do. She’s not waking up.” I rant.

“Mika, calm down. Where are you?” He says calmly. I take a deep breath.

“The Queen’s office.”

“I’m on my way now.” And I hear his footsteps running along the halls. I switch off my COM and look at The Queen and I jump into action. I sit her up and check she’s breathing before I take her coat and shoes off and lean her against her desk.

Then Rast comes in. I don’t have to explain anything, we just know what to do and get on with it. Rast picks her up and walks to the big glass doors at the end of the room, goes up to a glass panel and punches in a code and goes through them. I haven’t been down here before but there’s no time for wondering.

Then she starts coughing. Coughing blood. Rast and I start running down the hallway with her in his arms and we soon get to another set of doors. Rast turns to me. She’s stopped coughing, she’s just drooling now and when I look at the stuff coming out her mouth it doesn’t look like normal blood.

“You can’t come with me now.” He says.

“What? Don’t be silly! I can help you!” I go to step past him but he blocks me.

“Mika, I’m afraid this isn’t up for debate. Just wait here. Please.” The Queen coughs again and Rast looks at me pained. I nod and take a step back. Rast then turns to the door, puts in another code and the door opens. He looks back at me before going in.

Then I sneak in behind him. He doesn’t notice and walks over to a steel table in the middle of this strange room. It’s like a cross between a garage and a clinic at the same time. When he’s placed her carefully on the table he steps back and presses a button next to the table. Cuffs are released and clamped down on The Queen’s wrists and hands to my shock.
