“Say what now?” E asks. I sigh and turn to him.

“He was here and told our kids a story about the Queen.”

“Why would he do that?” Jana asks amusingly, like I’m making this up.

“Why would you tell a bunch of kids a story about your friend, the princess of a dead kingdom and now queen of the one that’s trying to kill us all?” I snap at her.

“We’re not kids.” I hear Spencer mutter but I ignore him as I go on.

“The only reason I can think of is that he had a motive, either good or bad, he still had one.”

“He left some clues in the story.” Some gothic girl pipes up in the back of the room. We’re in the media room, where Obama would make all his press speeches and I’m Barack at the moment, the major kids are the press, so I don’t know how this girl got in.

“Who are you sorry?” I ask. Magna stomps on my foot from her chair next to me.

“That’s Emily-Kate.” Magna really does know and remember all these kids.

“EK. I go by EK. Anyway, I recorded the story and listened to it again. He’s left clues.”

“Why did you record it?” Some punk asks her, jeering. Obviously this girl isn’t very well liked.

“Why did you sleep with Chelsea?” EK snaps back, a cool look on her face, and when the punk goes bright red I know I’m going to like this girl.

“That’s enough. Brandon, do not question Emily-Kate’s actions and Emily-Kate don’t use Brandon’s personal business as a comeback! I don’t think anyone needed to know what happened with Chelsea.” Magna stands.

“Yes ma’am.” Brandon sinks into his chair. Magna smiles and sits back down.

“You slept with Chelsea?” I hear Brandon’s mate ask him.

“Shut up!” He hisses back. I smile and go back to EK.

“Continue EK.” She nods and pulls out her phone. For a few minutes she doesn’t talk and we’re all just waiting for her.

“EK?” I ask. She looks up and looks at me annoyed.

“Do you have speakers?”” She asks.

“Yes, why?” EK then gets up and walks up to the front, she plugs her phone into the speakers and stands back up, phone in her hand, and fingers ready to press play.

“These are the first four sentences of the story.” She presses play and a man’s voice comes out of the speakers.

“There was once a girl, she had blonde hair, grey eyes and a calm but cold demeanour about her. This girl was a big part of society and she knew it, but she didn’t care. Didn’t care about all the girls who wanted to be her friend, didn’t care about the boys who wanted to kiss her, didn’t even care about her family. There was only one person she spoke to, and even they didn’t talk to anyone else when she was around,”

EK stops the recording.

“Okay, first clue. When he starts off he sounds collected and like he doesn’t give a toss, but when it comes to all the boys who wanted to kiss her his tone of voice went all defensive. Now you said this man was the General of the Army, her advisor and her friend, which means that he obviously felt quite if not over protective of her.”

“Where is this going EK?” I sigh.

EK ignores and plays more of the recording.

“Who was it?” That’s not the storytellers voice; it’s one of our kids.

“Do not interrupt me, or I will stop the story in the worst way possible.” The storyteller threatens. EK pauses it again.

“Next clue. He will stop it in the worst way possible, which means he knows the ending, but if this was about the Robo and us then how could he? Which made me wonder if the Robo home world has some sort of different time to us, if it moves faster then he would be able to know the ending by just going back there. That there suggests that he has recently been back and he wouldn’t want to go a long way after travelling to another planet.”

She plays it again, I’m not sure I’m not keeping up with her myself but by looking around the room of blank faces I know I’m not the only one.

“This person is irrelevant to the story at the moment but don’t worry, you’ll find out who he is soon enough. Anyway, this girl was very smart, the smartest of all. So when a war started she was the one everyone went to, even her parents.”

“She’s the one everyone went to, which means everyone knew where she was. So he, being the friend was probably always there with her.”

EK then fast forwards a bit until she gets to where she wants.

“The enemy moved into the palace and soon ran the whole world, only two of the original habitants remained and that was the princess and her companion.”

“They moved into the palace with the princess and her companion, except he doesn’t mention how they go there, he said that everyone was dead and the princess was gone. So where was she? And who took her? He did, and since we know this guy doesn’t like traveling much then he didn’t take her that far. Now for the last one.”

“Thank god.” I hear some kid mutter.

“Turns out the princess was all for becoming the new leader, she didn’t approve of her parents old ways and now she had the chance to rule how she wanted. Her companion, the other survivor became her advisor and General of the Army and lived in the palace with her. A few years on and another planet was found. ”

“The way he says he lived in the palace with her suggests he loved lived there and being with her, he obviously liked her more than a friend. Then as he said another planet was found you can tell he has plans for this planet, plans that include her and their old planet and since he doesn’t like traveling he would choose a place close to his work on the other planet for her to be.”

EK then unplugs the phone with a crackle and stands there, waiting for someone to speak.

“That was amazing.” Spencer, who’s next to me, whispers breathless. I turn to him.

“You understood that?” Everyone turns to him. EK even looks hopeful.

“Yeah, Lucas. EK just told us where to look for him and that where we find him, the Queen will be close! It’s genius!” We all look back at EK who’s standing there with her arms crossed and a playful smile on her lips as she looks at Spencer.

“Finally, someone who speaks English.” Spencer blushes and I ask EK to go sit down again, she grabs her phone and goes back to her seat, all smug with everyone being shocked at her genius. I turn to everyone and snap them out of their confusion.

“So, I need a team to look through maps and another compiling everything we know about the Robo home world and finding the palace. There also needs to be a team that will come out and search different spots and a bigger strike team.” Everyone looks at me either with a smile or a blank face. I smile mischievously.

“Who’s game?”
