|Saria's POV|:

A few weeks later

Grant had asked me to be his girlfriend the morning after the incident with Andrew.

•FLASHBACK•

I woke up in my bed expecting to see Grant sleeping next to me but he wasn't. I panicked a little until I smelled something delicious which caused me to forget about Grant and focus on where the smell was coming from.

I followed the sent absentmindedly until I bumped into something hard
"Good morning to you too" he said chuckling
"Good morning" I said wrapping my arms around his waist and laying my head on his bare back. Then I asked what he was cooking

"There wasn't much to work with in your fridge, by the way you need to go grocery shopping, but I settled for chocolate chip waffles, scrambled eggs, and turkey bacon"
"Yea I do need to go grocery shopping, I just spend so much time at the shop I'm never really here long enough to grab something to eat" he nodded

I let go of him to brush my teeth then came back to sit on the counter and watch him cook.
I watched his every move and every little detail on him. From the freckles all over his body to his tattooed arms. To the way his loose curls would bounce every time he moved, his hair was getting longer which I liked but he said he's cutting it. He whistle a song as he moved around the kitchen.

I honestly don't think I've ever been so attracted to someone, it baffles me that I never payed attention to the attraction I had for him. It made me feel really bad for Jonathan because I was with him while completely in love with someone else. I made a mental note to call him one of these days to apologize.

I don't know how long I spaced out for but when I left my thoughts there was a plate besides me and beautiful blue eyes staring back at me.
"You have really pretty eyes" I said staring into them
"You do too" he said and I smiled then kissed him
He looked at me for a few more second until he spoke up

"Be my girlfriend" my eyes widened
"Huh?" I asked making sure I heard it right and he laughed at my face expression
"Saria Uzuri Atkins, will you be my girlfriend?" He asked again and I answered by crashing my lips onto his
"So is that a yes?" He asked after we parted
"Of course it's a yes"

•END OF FLASHBACK•

We've been dating for a few weeks now.

When I told Ja'Nell, Nayline, and Cami everything that happened the day before he asked and how he asked they were happy for us but Nayline was ready to find what jail Andrew was in and hire a hitman. I explained to her that as a lawyer she should know that it's very illegal to do that.

Anyways Grant had came over yesterday evening after dropping Jabez  off to a friends house for a sleepover. We played uno which almost ended our relationship and watched a few movies, but I fell asleep halfway through the second one.

I woke up to straight back pain. I opened my eyes to see the cause of this back pain and saw that we were still on the couch. I sat up and shifted to stretch which caused Grant to groan. "Are you ok?" I said but then felt something poke my inner thigh. I looked down and my eyes widened
"Grant your thing is poking me"
"It's because my thing likes you" he said with his eyes still closed

I slapped his chest and he smirked but his eyes remained closed
I wanted to tease him so I shifted more which caused his eyes to open and get dark
"Don't do that unless you're going to finish the job" he said sitting up while I was still in his lap
