I rewrote a quarter of this chapter

|Saria's POV|:
We have started wedding planning and the small wedding that I wanted, doesn't look like it'll be happening.
Cadenza explained to me as to why we had to invite some of Grant's clients, it's good for business it means that he cares about them more than just clients blah blah blah.
So we set the date for a few months from now, with Cadenza as the wedding planner ans dress/ suit designer, the shop making the cake and pastries, and a friend Omar from college that I just reconnected with offered to have his mothers flower shop to do the flowers for the wedding. The wedding shouldn't take a long time to plan.
Omar Khalil was one of the only friends I had in college because he was so persistent to be friends with me. After highschool and all the bullying, I was too hype to make friends but he wouldn't let me not be his friend.
I was always focused on getting no less than an A and no one could distract me but him. Not gonna lie I had a little crush on him because he is a very attractive man but I knew he was would never reciprocate the feelings. We lost touch after graduation when he had to go back to Lebanon to help his family out.
Anyways Grant and I were currently having dinner with him. I could feel Grant's jealousy radiate off him when I'm conversing with Omar.
"Grant you don't understand how hard it was to get her to leave her dorm and have some fun" Omar said
"That's because I didn't want to go to a party full of sweaty college kids and booze"
"That's exactly why I was your only friend"
"Well I didn't want to be friends with you in the first place" we both laughed
Grant on the other hand did not look amused at all, he didn't even crack a smile. Omar glanced at him and cleared his throat excusing himself to the bathroom.
Once Omar was far enough I flicked Grant's ear
"Would it kill you to not be a brooding asshole" he rolled his eyes
"I don't like him"
"And why is that?" He shrugged, I was about to say something but Omar came back to the table and my annoyed face had to quickly change to a smiling one.
It was quiet for a few seconds until Omar spoke up
"So Grant you're re the CEO of Reign Inc"
"Yea" Grant said dryly before taking a sip of his wine (don't worry I'll be driving)
"It must be stressful to run such a successful company"
"Very" he answered dryly again, Omar gulped obviously uncomfortable so I changed the topic
"So Omar any new women in your life" I said wiggly my eyebrows and he chuckled
"No, but hopefully soon there will be" a brilliant idea popped into my head
"My friend Ja'Nell is single, you guys woul-"
"I'm going to have to pass, you're the worst matchmaker to ever walk this earth " I gasped playfully
"What?, I'm an amazing match maker" Grant scoffed and I side eyed him
"Do you not remember Dina from your book club in college?" The memory came back to me, in no way did their relationship end on good terms
"You guys were cute, she was just a little uh how do I put it"
"Obsessive" he said flatly
"Ok maybe she showed up to your job a few times but I promise you it was all love"
"Yea because stealing my car and my dog because I wanted to break up with her was 'all love' " I scratched the back of my neck
"Ok maybe she was a little crazy" he laughed
"Ok but Ja'Nell is nothing like that" Grant scoffed again and I kicked him
"Motherf-" I dared him to finish his sentence, his pain twisted face turned into a smile immediately and he sat back.
