|Saria POV|:
I check my phone 2:55 I have 5 minutes to spare
I parked my car, got out,and I ran as fast as my heels took me , I try not to be late but I have been late more times than I should. And my boss is an ass, period. He will have my head if I'm late one more time.

I ran into the building but start walking so that I don't look like a mad women. I get on the elevator and I click the 25th floor. There's 25 floors, I thank God the elevator works because trust me, walking up 25 floors is not a fun . I'm praying that I get there on time.

I walk to Mr. Grant Reign's office and knock. I check my phone really quick, it was 3:00 on the dot

He says come in, I open the door and eyes as blue as the ocean in the Caribbeans look into mine. I smile

"Good afternoon sir"
"Good afternoon Miss Atkins" he says

I stood in front of his desk and got the company tablet that had his schedule on it, out of my purse to read the daily schedule to him

"I have some papers you need to sign, you have a 3:45 meeting with Allen Jay Sr. the CEO of AJ's (which is a local restaurant), a meeting with Ms. Senitina Taylor on upgrading our tech, dinner with Mr. Ryder Sayn, and you have to call your mother" I said giving him the papers he has to sign

He signed them and gave it back

"Cancel my meeting with Senitina and reschedule it for next week, cancel dinner with Ryder, and send my mom some sunflowers and a notecard that's says I'll call her after work. You're now dismissed from my presence" he says, I swear he's the rudest person I've ever met, and that's hypocritical for me to say when I get abused. But I can't deny that the man was a very fine glass of wine.

I can't help but to dance my eyes to his face, he had his hair styled in its usual dark brown curly state and the most beautiful blue eyes which matched his beautiful tan skin. His beard makes him look a lot more mature. The tattoos on his arms, whew , especially when he rolls up his sleeves and you can see them. Whew chile, he's sex on legs.

I didn't even realize that I was still standing there and staring at him until I heard him talk again

"Saria, did you hear me" he says sharply
"Im sorry sir, what did you say" I actually looked at  him instead of staring

"Maybe if you weren't looking at me with fucking googoo eyes you would of heard what I said" he said in a rude tone
"Ok I was staring, but you don't have to be rude about it asshole" I thought to myself while mentally rolling my eyes

"I'm sorry sir" I said
"Don't let it happen again" he said
I nodded

"As I was saying, I have some papers for you to review, scan into the computer, put it in the digital file, and then put the hard copies in the physical files." He said while typing
I took the stack and was walking away when his voice stopped me

"Oh and you'll be coming to the 3:45 meeting with me to take notes" he said still not taking his eyes off of his computer screen

"No problem sir"
I took the stack of folders with the papers I needed to file, back to my small office that was behind a big wooden door connected to his office

I called Ms. Senitina and asked her what day she would want to reschedule the meeting that was canceled for today, I made sure it matched with his schedule then we said our goodbyes. I then canceled dinner with Ryder, he was pissed that his best friend canceled on him and tried to rant to me but I had to inform him that I had other things to do. I then sent the beautiful sunflowers to his mother's company office with the note Mr. Reign wanted me to attach.

I really love sunflowers, I prefer those over roses any day, after imagining myself in a field of sunflowers, I continued to file the papers digitally

But then I started thinking of my life at home.

I don't know what I did to get abused like this. Is it me, maybe I did something to make him act like this. After overthinking for a while I was snapped out of my trance.

"Miss Atkins are you ok?"Mr. Reign asked
I looked down and nodded yes.. when did he walk into my office?
"Well it doesn't look like it, you were crying" he said
I looked at his softened face confused , crying, I was crying? I asked myself then I touched my face. I felt the tears

"Oh no I'm fine I was just thinking of when Mufasa died in the Lion King" I blurted out
WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME, WHAT TYPE OF EXUSE IS THAT

He looked at me weird as I was quickly trying to wipe my tears without messing up my make up. I didn't want him to see the bruises on my face

"Then I would advise you to stop thinking of that and finish your work" he said and walked out my office doors and back into his office
I checked the time and it was 3:44

"Sir you have a meeting in a minute" I said to him after I gathering my stuff and walking into his office
"Shit" he said
"Why didn't  you tell me earlier" he said angrily while picking up his brief case
"Sorry sir I wasn't look at the time" I said gathering my stuff too
"Yea because you were crying over Mufasa's death"
"who the hell does that" he said underneath his breath but I heard him

I wanted to roll my eyes so bad but I need this job, I still did a sneaky eyeroll

"Call James and tell him to bring my car  around" he told me
I called James and in less then 3 minutes we were on our way

•After the meeting

It was 7:45 pm it  was a long ass meeting. And she just remembered the old  man that looked at her hungrily. She almost threw up with the thought of him.
They returned to the office with Mr. Reign behind her
She opened the door for him and he walked through

"Saria, I have to go home. But you have do overtime and finish reviewing these papers and make sure they are all up to date on the companies information " Mr. Reign said  while giving her a stack of papers to review

"I swear I'm going to explode, I HAVE AN EXAM TOMORROW and I was already going to have to stay late because of the work I didn't finish. But now this big body built ass man is giving me more work to do, so I would have to stay even longer" she thought to herself

"Sir with all due respect, I can't I have an exam tomorrow morning and I still have to study more " she said
" So I guess you don't want a job tomorrow afternoon then?" he said with one of his perfect eyebrows raised
She put on a fake smile

"No sir, I'm sorry for questioning your command" she said and starting filing the papers and finishing the work she didn't finish earlier.

He gave her a fake smile and walked out of her office, she stuck up the middle finger at the door after he left

She left her office at 1 am, exhausted as hell and on her way to study for her exam that was in 7 hours
