When he pulled away from her slightly, Zayn smiled at her and his smile grew even bigger when she smiled at him.

“What do you want to do today?” he asked as his thumbs traced her lips.

Kaia couldn't help but stare at him. He was standing right in front of her and all of her fears, for the most part, were slipping away. He made her feel whole. He made her want to enjoy life again and not burden herself with guilt.

She wondered what would happen at the end of their time together. Would it be easy to know that he would go on with his life and she with hers? Somehow, she knew it might be easier to continue on with hers.

The pain and the fear she had lived with for so long would be okay because he had helped her through remembering the most tragic night of her life.

Now she didn't feel so afraid. Even if they would never see each other again, she knew that he had saved her.

“Kaia?” Zayn said again softly.

Kaia snapped out of her trance. “What?” she asked.

“I asked what would you like to do today?” he asked her again and looked deep into her eyes. His hand stroked her cheek. He couldn't help but wonder what she was thinking. What she was feeling. Last night had changed the both of them and he wondered if she knew how much she had changed his life. “Are you alright love?”

Kaia nodded her head. “Um, yeah. I'm up for a run. Are you up for it?” she asked with a grin. While being with Zayn made her the happiest she had ever been and he had been there for her in an incredible dark night, she needed to blow off some of the frustration that she still felt within herself.

“A run?” he questioned. “That's what you want to do?”

“Well, for starters,” she said.

Zayn couldn't help but smile at her. He loved her so much. “Okay, we'll start with a run, and then maybe do some exploring?”

“I'd like that,” Kaia said.

Zayn leaned in and kissed her deeply. He never wanted to let go of her. And he wasn't planning on it. He just had to figure out that plan. And make her agree to it. He didn't want her to bolt. He needed her in his life.

“Um, excuse me,” Harry said from the kitchen.

They pulled apart and looked at Harry and Marian.

“How about movies tonight?” Marian asked.

“That sounds like a plan. I know this house has Netflix.” Zayn said. “What are you two going to do today?”

Harry pulled Marian into his arms. “I'm sure we can think of something,” he said with a wiggle of his eyebrows.
