Zayn and Kaia headed back to the house where they were greeted with hugs from his sisters and his mom. They all gathered in the kitchen as Tricia made dinner. And every time Kaia tried to help, Tricia playfully shooed her away. There was a lot of laughter and the only tears were from laughing so hard they couldn't contain their tears.

Kaia felt so welcomed to their embrace. She had never felt like that before. Yes, her foster parents loved her. Just as Marian and her parents did. But this was different. She felt the warmth of their love. Even though they had all just met her, it was genuine and to Kaia it was one of the most comforting experiences she had ever felt. She felt relaxed and able to truly be herself without having to have her guard up.

As she laughed and talked with his sisters, Kaia could feel Zayn watching her at times. She smiled weakly at him, and when she felt his eyes on her, her knees grew weak. He just seemed to have the ability to do that to her.

Zayn approached his mom and hugged her from behind as she stood at the stove. "Thank you mum," he said quietly.

Tricia looked at her son and smiled at him. "Why are you thanking me?" she asked.

"For just being you. For helping Kaia."

Tricia just shrugged her shoulders and went back to cooking. "She makes you happy, and that makes me happy Zayn. Lord knows she's been through so much in her life, and I'm glad you found her." She said. She turned to Zayn and put her hands on his shoulders. "Help her the best that you can. And love her deeply. Everything will be alright." She playfully shoved him away. "Now go set the table."

"Yes mum," Zayn said and kissed her on the cheek.

Kaia didn't miss the interaction between Zayn and his mom and she blushed and looked away quickly when she realized that she had been caught watching. As Zayn set the table, she was dragged away by his sisters. They had brought her gifts. Even though she protested them. The girls insisted. They had brought her jewelery and an antique ink pen. She started to cry when she opened it.

Doniya touched her shoulder. "Kaia, we didn't mean to make you cry." she said.

Kaia smiled through the tears. "I'm not crying because I'm sad," she said and quickly wiped away the tears. "You have all made me feel so special and so wanted and so....."

"Loved?" Waliyha said with a smile.

Kaia couldn't help but smile wider and she nodded her head. "I don't know how to thank you."

The sisters looked at each other and smiled and then surrounded Kaia in a group hug.

"There is no need to thank us Kaia," Doniya said as they all continued to hug. "We see how happy Zayn is. Happier than he's been in a long time."

They all continued to hold each other for a moment when they heard Zayn behind them.

"Don't I get any love?" he asked as he came towards them.

"No!" They all shouted, even Kaia, and then they all laughed and brought Zayn into their circle.

He maneuvered his way so that he was in the middle and could get his arms around Kaia. He kissed her gently on the lips and was met by a proper 'ewwww' from his sisters.

Tricia watched her family. She wished Yaser was there to see it. She quickly pulled out her phone and snapped a few pictures as they all continued to hold each other. It made her heart swell with love.

During dinner, Kaia couldn't help but feel Zayn's eyes on her for most of the meal. She shifted in her chair more than once and every time she did, he would smirk at her.
