After a week of staying over Callant's, I went home. Daddy didn't questioned my whereabouts the past few days, and I'm sure Kuya already explained everything to him. Hindi na muli nabuksan ang usapan tungkol sa insidenteng nangyari noong nakaraan. I have no idea what happened after I left. I'm hesitant to ask my siblings. Bumalik na si Ate sa Manila habang ang kambal ay laging nagkukulong sa kuwarto nila. I'm worried about them. Ilang linggo na lang aalis na si Marquise para mag-aral sa ibang bansa. Marquee will be left alone because Kuya will go back to Metro Manila too.

"Daddy, tomorrow... Callant will visit here and we'll ask you for your blessing." Kinakabahan kong sabi kay Daddy habang kumakain kaming tatlo nina Marquee. We can't pursue Marquise to join us, she's still in the process of accepting the truth.

"Ask for what?" Tumaas ang dalawang kilay niya at binaba ang hawak na kubyertos. Pati si Marquee ay napatigil sa pagkain.

"Blessing for our wedding, Daddy." Halos mawalan ako ng boses dahil sa sobrang hina ng pagkakasabi ko noon.

"Wedding!" Napaayos ako ng upo dahil sa lakas ng boses ni Daddy.

"Wedding..." hindi naman makapaniwalang sabi ni Marquee sa kanyang sarili.

"You're getting married? Bakit ngayon mo lang sinabi sa akin? At kailan niyo balak magpakasal? Pagkatapos mo mag-aral?" I scraped my nape when questions from him flocked in.

"We just decided it last week, Daddy. We'll have a civil wedding and we'll get married by the end of the year."

"Why is it so sudden? Buntis ka ba, Ate?"

"Of course not!" Histerya kong sigaw sa kapatid. "This is not a shotgun marriage."

"Then, why?" Daddy asked.

"I think... it's the right thing to do. I don't want to choose between you and Mommy. Callant doesn't want us to live under the same roof unless we're married and we both love each other so... we're getting married."

Gulat man ang dalawa sa binalita ko ay pinakiusapan ko rin silang huwag munang ipagsabi ang tungkol doon. I'm fine with them knowing... my aunts, and some of my friends.

The next morning, Callant went to our mansion with his mother. Laking gulat ko nang makita ang nanay niya dahil hindi ko inakalang uuwi siya para lang sa pamamanhikan. His Tita Sheena also came. They also brought foods even though Dad already prepared for it.

Kuya and Marquee are the only ones who knew amongst my siblings about the upcoming wedding. Sina Tita Jade at Tita Yssa ay maaga ring pumunta sa mansiyon.

"So, tell us how you met each other." Tita excitedly said.

Daddy was sitting at the end of the table, Kuya's on his right and I am sitting between Kuya and Marquee. On Daddy's left is Tita Callie, Callant, Tita Sheena, and Tita Jade. Si Tita Yssa ay nasa tabi ni Marquee.

"I usually see Miranda at our school's field. She's a part of the cheerleading squad and I'm a soccer player. I already knew her because of her older brother, Ace. I was attracted to her at first, she's really pretty. Then, an incident happened, she thinks she's indebted to me because I helped her, me and my friends helped her. She invited me out and I couldn't stop myself from seeing her after that." Pagsisimula ni Callant. Hindi ko alam kung bakit pero kinikilig ako sa paraan ng pagsasalita niya at pagtitig niya sa akin. "Eventually, we became friends and later on, I was busy catching my feelings for her. We're both really young when we started, we're both minors when I courted her but she turned me down."

"Hey, you know why I turned you down. I thought my friend likes you and I don't want to put our friendship on the line." Ngumuso ako para pigilan ang pagngiti.
