(Requested)Shuichi Saihara Snaps

A/n-Someone emailed me, asking if I could do a snapped Shuichi Saihara AU. I did say yes, and I will not specify who asked me, but I thank them for giving me this prompt. A few things before you start:

I am extremely burned out

This will probably be short or long, because piano lessons hit like a bus

I played the flea waltz while saying one of Kaede's voice lines. It was her voice lines of her telling Tsumugi that she'd pull up her skirt and let everyone see her 'delicates'. My brother came in, and asked me if I was threatening the piano book.

Some teachers were saying "So long, farewell!" to the little kids. THE MONOKUBS AREN'T REAL, THEY'RE JUST HALLUCINATIONS-

Shuichi's POV

Why can't they all shut up...why can't I be the one to have peace...what did they have for life to give them happiness.. "Shuichi." Shut up. "Shuichi." Shut up shut up shut up shut up shut up shut up shut up shut up shut up shut up shut up shut up shutup shutup shutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutupshutup- "Shuichi Saihara!" "SHUT UP!" I screamed. Everyone but Kokichi had a surprised face on. "Oh wow~Saihara-chan got tired of everyone's s-" "SHUT UP KOKICHI! YOU"RE ALONE AND YOU ALWAYS YOU ALWAYS WILL BE, SO SHUT UP AND DEAL WITH IT!" Kokichi actually started crying. Everybody thought it was fake until Kokichi had a full panic attack on his podium. Maki was one of the only people who could handle those, so she excused me, Kokichi, and herself from the trial forcibly. First, she calmed down Kokichi, who ended up falling asleep, so she decided to set up a little spot for all 3 of us to rest. Kokichi was peacefully asleep, so it was only the 2 of us. "Shuichi, I may not know why you snapped, but we need to talk it out. I'm no therapist, but I've dealt with children like you, and you may be my age, but we still need to talk it out." I half-heartedly agreed, and heard shuffling from next to Maki. Kokichi had woken up, and when he saw me, he stood up. He quietly walked the 2 feet separating us, backed up a foot, and plopped down in the middle of me and Maki. "Have your therapy session. I'll join in from time to time." Both me and Maki ageed. That's when things got more tense.

Maki asked me a few things. "Answer all the questions, Shuichi. I'll be able to help you after that." I nodded, not mentally prepared for anything at the moment. " What do you think the cause of the snapping was?" I froze at the question. It was something that started with a d... d.... "Despair" Maki said. I looked at her, confused. Did she read my mind? Maki sighed. "No, I didn't read your mind. Your face is easy enough to read." "She's right. Also, Saihara, there are black and white swirls in your eyes." Maki looked into my eyes, and I'm pretty sure she saw what Kokichi just explained. Kokichi...that name feels so wrong on my tongue....do I even have the right to call him by his first name anymore..? "Hey...Kokichi...do I still have permission to say your first name?" Kokichi nodded. "I won't let a little yelling from you bring a supreme leader like me down!" Instead of his voice getting all high and mighty, his voice started cracking. "I-i...who am i-i ki-kidding... no supreme l-leader would c-c-cry i-in front of h-is co...." Kokichi couldn't continue. Tears ran down his face, and he tried to stop them from coming out. They kept running down his face, and they didn't stop. I hugged him, knowing it wouldn't do much, but it'd make him feel slightly better. He hugged back, and then I felt 5 new pairs of arms join in. It was Maki, Kaito, Tsumugi, Kiibo, and Himiko. After Kokichi was asleep again, I started speaking. "The culprit was Gonta, wasn't it..?" The 4 people who remained in the trial room nodded sadly. Only Himiko looked the slightest bit upbeat. "Himiko, why are you so happy looking..?" Himiko smiled slightly. "I took your place in the trial room! I think Tenko would've been proud of me..nyeh..." She yawned. "I've run out of MP...I'll talk to you guys tomorrow. Nyeh...goodnight..." We all said our goodbyes to Himiko as she went outside to go to the dorms. "I guess I'll go too, a plain girl like me needs sleep too...goodnight everyone!" Everyone did the same thing they did with Himiko to Tsumugi. Kaito asked Maki and I if we wanted to go to training. We both denied Kaito's offer, so he went on his way, alone. Kiibo's battery was low, so he also said his goodbyes, leaving me with Maki and Kokichi.

Me and Maki talked a bit more about what happened during the trial, and I explained the voices that I heard while she was calling my name.

"I'm going to go back to my room. Hopefully, you'll let Kokichi stay in your room tonight?" I nodded. "Yeah. Bye Maki." "Bye Shuichi. Take care of your mental health. When you told me about the voices, I immediately thought of schizophrenia. Block out the voices. No matter what they tell you. Ask Monokuma for schizophrenia medicine. He won't deny. Leaving a student in terrible mental health is bad for the killing game." I nodded, and said my goodbyes to Maki. I picked Kokichi up, and carried him on my back.

Kokichi's breath was on my neck, but it was cold, compared to my body temperature. Even from the very beginning of the game, he's held my hand, and he was colder than the outside when it was night. When I got to my dorm, I balanced Kokichi on my knee as I fumbled for my room key. Once I opened the door to my dorm, I placed Kokichi down on my bed. He didn't move, so that's how I knew he was a heavy sleeper. Now I'm starting to wonder how he wakes up in the morning... 'He thinks about your eyes.' Hold up brain- are you okay? 'Mentally, no. You have schizophrenia, why would you ask?' Oh...wait, I shouldn't even be having a conversation with myself! Geez, I really do need therapy... Back on track, I need to get Kokichi warmth...he's too cold for a normal human being....he probably has hypothyroidism. I got out one of my extra coats, and placed it on Kokichi. He looked slightly warmer, but still looked cold at the same time. I grabbed a blanket that heats itself up, and placed it on Kokichi. I touched his hand. It seemed considerably warmer than the last time I had touched it, so that was improvement. Suddenly, Kokichi started shaking. Badly. When I tried to let go of his hand to help him calm down, he only squeezed it tighter. It didn't hurt, him being much weaker than me, but if I moved, he'd panic in his sleep.SO, I did the only other thing that I thought of at the moment. I slowly crawled onto the bed, avoiding touching Kokichi's body for obvious reasons. Then, I slowly hugged him from behind. He seemed to to stop shaking as he melted into the hug. I'm still guilty for causing his panic attack, but I'm also glad that I was the one who could comfort him in the end.

A/n-i'm sorry if this seemed rushed, and I'm sorry to the person who gave me this idea, if this wasn't exactly what you were thinking of! I actually have piano lessons in...30 minutes, and I've been working on this since 2:56p.m. I finished this at 4:27p.m, and I had more than 1 hour to do this. There's a lot of yelling around me, and I can't really focus, but I'm not about to snap at people I barely know. Anyways, please don't worry about what is happening in my personal life, and....2 chapters published today! YAY! Mood swing time-

Update-Piano was good today. I've changed my personality unwillingly about 3 times now.
