Due to Popular Opinion: Shuichi should've died first, and Kaede should've been the protagonist the entire killing game.
Well, MY humble opinion is that this opinion? Is utter bullshit. If you can find more popular opinions that just sound like poppycock, then please, tag or comment do that I may...
Sanders Sides Reference: *pull out vocabulary card* debunk this fuckery.
A side note, I love Kaede. She's an amazing character, with little depth for a good reason, and she's basically the perfect mix of a person who would compliment and insult me at the same time. This chapter is to simply prove why Danganronpa wouldn't be the same without Shuichi, even if Shuichi agrees with the opinion.
Kaede's POV
"Shui...chi...?" I whispered.
He stood at his podium, tears going down his face from the endless debate that had put more pressure on him than he could take. He started crying midway, but never stopped. He bit his lip, and his body trembled, before he took off his hat, and place it elegantly on the stand.
His face was flushed red, and tear lines were perfectly straight across his cheeks.
"I...admit it. I killed Angie. I killed Angie Yonaga without a just reason!" He yelled, fresh tears forming in his eyes again.
He crumpled his hat, and threw it randomly. It flew short, and landed in Tenko's hands. For once, she didn't look disgusted, but shocked, and scared.
"Monokuma, please. Start the execution," he sighed, looking to the ground with bitter resentment.
I noticed that he had the same piece if hair sticking up from his head as I did. I...wanted to get to know him better.
"No! Please!" I cried, attempting to grab onto Shuichi's hand.
Somebody grabbed my other hand, and yanked me back, taking me by surprise. It was Tenko.
"Akamatsu-san, I hate to say this, but don't be selfish! He made the choice to kill Angie, and now he has to pay the consequence!" She hissed, still holding Shuichi's hat tight in her palm.
"No! This isn't fair!" I screamed.
"To you," Kokichi said blankly. "You're so caught up with your own emotions, you won't stop to think about how he feels, Kaede-chan!" He chirped in the most passive-aggressive voice I'd ever heard out of him.
I stared at Shuichi, my eyes pleading him to give me the answer I hope for, but he just shook his head.
"I deserve this. Thank you, Kaede. Thank you, everyone."
With that, Shuichi walked away to his own execution with maturity and elegance, as I fell to the floor, in a heap of sorrow and disbelief.

Himiko was holding a magic show? Really? Angie just died, and Shuchi...Shuichi was executed only 3 days ago!
I bit my lip in contempt at the memory of his blank face. He didn't deserve anything! Especially not that gruesome execution!
His friends...replicas of US were used against him...
"Hey, Kaede-chan! Come on, let's go see Himiko-chan's magic show!" Kokichi ran up to me, grinning.
"Sure, Kokichi..." I smiled politely at the boy, and he dragged me off towards the auditorium.
