Chapter 42: Where we left off

"How do you want to spend the rest of the day?" Ash asked as the two exited the stadium. Both Ash and Serena won their first round battle and proceeded to the next round with little difficulties. The two aura guardians started debating how to kill some time. Serena looked at the sky, deep in thought. The sky was getting darker fast, the two spent most of their day watching other trainers battle and became kinda bored. The only reason Mew didn't join them is because she was waiting for Red's battle, which got her a few teasings from Ash and Serena, but she stayed to watch nonetheless.

"I don't know" Serena finally said, braking her gaze to the sky and turned her head to her fiance. Ash groaned "there has to be something we could do to pass the time.." he said frustrated, his arms dropping. Serena giggled at Ash's childish behavior and kissed his cheek before taking his hand in hers "we can go back to the stadium if you want?" She suggested "I don't know I've seen enough battling today, we've been sitting there and watching for 6 hours!" Ash said, rejecting the idea. Serena nodded and looked back at the stadium when the people burst into cheers "I get your point" she said "it does get a bit boring after a while.." Ash sighed "Wait I know!" He jumped up so fast he almost knocked Serena over "what is it?" Serena Asked while trying to keep her balance "remember yesterday? when you told me you were working on a new performance move?" He asked. Serena's face lit "oh yeah! But wait you want to see the new move?" She asked "since when you're so into performing?" Ash shrugged "I don't know, since we have nothing to do and you're performances are always pretty so.. why not?"

Serena wondered for a minute before smiling brightly "sure, why not? It could be fun!" She said and took out three Pokeballs "come out Sylveon, Pancham and Gardvior!" Serena threw her Pokeballs in the air in a flash of light her Pokemon appeared next to her. "Hey guys" Serena said to her Pokemon "what do you say we show Ash the new move we've been working on?" Sylveon and pancham were jumping excitedly and Gardevior took a more gentle aperture and just smiled and nodded.

"Here we go!"

The three Pokemon walked away from Serena and stood in a circle, readying their moves "first, Pancham use Shadow ball!" Serena said and pointed up "Pan.. Cham!" Pancham made a purple sphere in his hands and fired it into the sky "Now quick Gardevior use psychic, hold the shadow ball in place" Serena commanded "Garde.. vior!" The embrace Pokemon's eyes glowed blue and so did the shadow ball which stopped in place, floating 5 meters up in the air. Ash gasped as the ball began to disassemble, slowly but surely the shadow ball completely dissolved into the air making some sort of black cloud or smoke

"Now combine, Moonblast, Dazzling Galeam and Dark pulse!" Serena said and her Pokemon jumped back, readying their moves. Sylveon and pancham turned their moves to shoot glitter from their hands that collided with Gardevior's pink sphere of energy directly inside the black cloud. The moves merged and sparkling glitter filled the black cloud almost looking like stars in space. "Now Sylveon!" Serena said and backed up before running full speed towards her Pokemon. Sylveon used her feelers to launch Her trainer up in the air and into the artificial galaxy. Once inside Serena formed a golden aura sphere before and used it to create a shockwave that catapulted everything into the sky leaving only some sparkling glitter falling to the ground

Serena landed back on the ground to the sound of clapping and smiled "I hope you loved it!" She said and bowed with Pokemon bowing next to her. "That was amazing Serena!" A young voice said, one that did not belong to Ash. Serena's head shot up but when she was who is was she smiled "thanks Bonnie!" She said and high-fived her friend "when did you get here?" Bonnie and Ash grinned "you were so focused you didn't even noticed her?" Ash asked while Bonnie chased Sylveon and pancham around while screaming how much she missed them. The two Pokemon were happy to see her too but knew very well how deadly Bonnie's hugs are. Ash and Serena chuckled at them "I saw that black thingy in the air" Bonnie said once she managed to catch them "and I had fo check it out so.. here I am!" She said with a wide grin
