Was the Pacific ocean deeper than his eyes?

What exactly is the colour of his eyes?

Was she stepping on his feet?

The thoughts filled her mind but her face was calm. She being close to him was busy noticing his features.

The roughness on his palm, his hard chest, the jawline. Everything she couldn't help but feel weird about it.

He on the other hand was living the moment. It was so special for him, this moment. Her eyes, that sharp nose, her lips, her breath. Everything was so enchanting.

She moulded in him perfectly. He wished time to stop.  He wanted to spend time with her like this or maybe talking happily , laughing and making fun of each other.

The song ended and they stopped but didn't part away. He wasn't holding her back. But she didn't move away. She had forgotten to blink in those minutes busy staring in his eyes.

Disturbed by the ringing of his phone she took two steps away from him to maintain a respectable distance.

He got busy with the call and she with the eating business.

****
The white painted room with two huge windows, which let enough air in the room and  yellow glow casted by the lamps and the mini chandelier . And the view of the lake from the window.

There was so much to admire in room.  So much to plan but Annika could focus on nothing but the problem ahead of her.

The tik of the clock could be heard in the silence of night. She sat leaning on the headrest thinking about what her mother said.

How can she not attend the wedding?

Even if she did, what would she answer to Aditya?

She is his sister!

And he for sure will not marry without her physical presence.  So many years he waited for her to come back and now if she didn't be in the wedding he will pick up the world on his head

How will she escape him? The question had kept sleep away from her. She sometimes wished that she could  change the past

She could change her blood, her destiny..she signed realising that nothing could be done.

'You are her blood, you remind me of her'

These were her mother's words the first time she revealed that to her.

Her eyes droopped from the travelling and exertion and she fell in a  dream less slumber.

Two days passed by quickly with Annika handling the living arrangements for the guest, relatives, and people she was acquainted with but could hardly remember them.

Shivaay had choose not to bother her by nagging her again and again. He took up sight seeing  and visiting the heritage sights.

Aditya in Mumbai had talked with Annika but was not at peace. He wanted to be happy about his wedding but he couldn't focus on it completely.

He was always worried about Annika at the back of his mind but couldn't do anything.

Tomorrow  they are leaving for Surajgarh in the morning and he roamed around the terrace firstly talking to Sanam. Then to his 'second girlfriend' Shivaay. And lastly Annika.

After talking to her he walked downstairs and was going to his room only when the closed door of Annika's room caught his attention.

He opened the door.  The room was like always with beige walls and golden patterns , white bed with matching pillow cases and duvet.

The white bookshelf arranged according to her own wish at the corner of the room.

Something caught his attention, a diary on the table!

It was kept in the most corner such that one could hardly notice it.

He took it out and was about to open it but stopped.

It was wrong to read her diary.  He should respect her privacy.

But he wanted to know what was that only Annika,  Dada ji and mom know.

So he opened it. The first entry was posted thirteen years ago.  He realised that it was nota daily journal but she wrote when she felt the need too.

He read a random one

My dear dia,

You must be thinking why I named you dia.  The reason is that you are a diary so I took it from the spelling of 'diary'.

Bhai says that I am very smart when I told him I named my diary but then  his friend Shivaay laughed on me. I don't like him.

Aditya chuckled at it , his little Annika so innocent and happy with life and now she seems fed up of it.

He read the last page written in it

My dear dia,

I realised that how much pain and trouble I was causing to everyone unintentionally. They all love me so much.  Bhai , kartik, Papachacha,  chachi. Bhai is worried about me when he should  concentrate on bhabhi. Kartik should focus on his work and life but he is disturbed because of me. Everyone is , so today when bhai and dad along with kartik persuaded me to join office I decided to let go of everything and do what makes them happy

But my this decision will surely make her angry. She would not listen to me I know that.  I wonder how Adi bhaiya handles her.

But she acts sweet with him. Why will he have any problem with her?

I do wish I had the guts to do something.  To tell Adi bhaiya and kartik that Dada ji gave their rights to me. I wish I had the guts to tell them..

He flipped the page to read further but it blank.

His brows  creased thinking about whom Annika is talking about and 'Dada ji gave her their rights' what does it mean?

He closed it and kept back as it is when felt someone's presence in the room.

"Kartik!"

"When did you come back from Udaipur? " Aditya asked

"An hour ago, Anni is in Surajgarh? "Kartik asked to which Aditya nodded in a yes

"She is still so unpredictable! " both the brother's remarked at the same time and chuckled.

"I wanted to tell you something " Aditya said suddenly as they walked out of the room.

Kartik gestured him to go ahead.

Aditya explained him his observations and Annika's doing and her diary entry.

"I think badi maa has nothing to do with Anni.  Maybe Dada ji is connected with all this, Anni was very attached to him anyway " Kartik said after listening to everything.

Aditya looked on nothing sure of it. His mom seemed rude or a little harsh with Anni to him. But he never said anything in that matter.

"Annika stop being a kid and eat" Shivaay scolded her

"Shivaay I said I will when I would feel like now please let me confirm the booking of the hotels" she replied nonchalantly

"I am not Adi to handle your tantrums.  When I am telling to eat then you should " He further replied.

"I didn't tell you too!" She didn't look at him still and kept typing on her phone.

"But you are my responsibility! "
