Shivaay took a U-turn when he saw her car entering the mansion's gate. He couldn't drop her but he had to make sure she reached safely. They hadn't  realized talking at the beach that it was past ten thirty at night.

He could neither force her to let him drop her nor he could let her go alone.

His phone vibrated and he put it on speaker not finding his Bluetooth or wireless earbuds with him.

"So, how is Anni ?"Aditya inquired.

"Why don't you see it yourself. Aren't you home yet?" Shivaay questioned back shifting the gears.

"No I am in the back garden." He signed realizing a breath.

"And why is that?"

"I have this intuition that mom would be waiting for me to fill my ears and try manipulating, I am not sure about dad though.." Aditya trailed of loathing to even think like that about his mother but this was her reality.

Now he wanted to know why she was like this.

"Annika is fine, just in need of verbal and emotional comfort. And that can be provided by just you the best. You know you are the closest to her. " Shivaay spoke in assurance.

Aditya pursed his lip at his words. He had something planned for the following day and Annika's decision was toping on the cake. The anxiousness about it was hitting him already.

"I'll try talking to her about it. If not then definitely I will be by her side that will help her with her nerves. I know all her courage is a facade. "

"You better do, because you your silence would only take her away from you. She is scared of your silence. And if this continues then all her suffering goes in vain." Shivaay wisely added.

"I will stand for her always!" Aditya promised himself.

They both hung up and Aditya drove to the front gates of the mansion and with huff got of the car.

He pushed the main door open expecting either his mother or his father and in worst situation the whole family. He knew today his patience was on leash, a very thin leash.

As expected both his parents were sitting in the living room but what he didn't expect was Annika standing in front of them. Seemed like she was being questioned.

"Adi!" He heard the voice of his wife standing near the couch on which no one was sitting. He looked at her, panic was written over her face.

She signalled towards Annika and then blinked and he understood she was telling him to help Annika in anyway and keep calm.

Before he could respond something his mother voice grabbed his attention.

"Adi, thank God you are here!" She got up from the sofa and walked up to him.

"Look what our love and freedom has done to her. Today at the dinner she refused to marry Sameer ! Then disappeared god knows where. She just came back. " Madhuri was trying every bit to manipulate the entire situation to something worse.

"I know mom." He was calm , like the person who has the ability to destroy everything with a stroke ,he'd never do it really but always remind you what he's capable of.

His gazed landed on his little sister standing in front of his father with her chin up and shoulders square , she knew she was right. But her eyes were down and he knew she was scared of what everything could turn in to.
