☆ 'You are okay with it?' ☆

At the age of seventeen Annika's innocence was killed. Her as beautiful as a dream life was turned into a living nightmare. Her naive heart was broken.

A mother and a daughter always share a special bond, which is engraved on their hearts.

But Annika was not privileged enough to have that. It was not that she wasn't loved or was mistreated, but she didn't experience mother's love.

Her mom never woke her up in morning, never cooked specially for her. It was always for her elder brother that she got to eat her hand made food.

Annika didn't recall Madhuri ever reading her a book to sleep. After her brother was capable to read he read for her.

Madhuri didn't know what her daughter liked to eat. Or maybe she knew but never cared enough put some effort for her.

Motherly affection was something Madhuri had just for Aditya. Who would nudge his mother to feed his sister too. He used to take the morsel from Madhuri's hand and make Annika eat.

If his mother packed and kept his tiffin. Then he never missed to keep her tiffin in her bag.

Annika also had her grand parents and her father. She always consoled herself saying that her mother loved her too but she loved Aditya more. Just like how her grand parents and Adhiraj loved her more.

Her Dada ji would pick her up in his arms and her dadi would feed her keser kheer. Her dadi would read the the holy Ramayana and she used sit beside her. She had these little sweet memories of her childhood.

Her elder brother read her stories. Never let anyone scold her. Always took her side. Wiped her tears when she cried. Scolded the gang who bullied her.

Every time he went out with his friends and Kartik was not at home he took her along.

Their grand parents were proud of the bond between them. But what if it faded away with time.

What if someone comes between them?

All these questions didn't had answers. When Annika lost her grand mother that was the first time she felt a sudden hollowness in herself.

At fifteen her grand father left her too with nothing but values , morals and fifty percent of the entire property. And from there started her realization that how she was sidelined by her mother.

She never had her attention. And that hurt her bad. She tried to earn her love, affection.

Unfortunately, something was so psychotic that no matter how hard she tried to forge a healthy relationship, nothing helped . Now that she is an adult, took refuge in the fact that some things are beyond her control. She owed it to herself to steer clear of people who are harmful to her health.

Today when she had to choose between her life and her love for her brother and father she can't make the it wrong.

It will be her words that will decide what will happen in her life, Sameer's life , Tanya's life. She will have to lie to everyone. Act happy and behave just like how one would do naturally.

She wouldn't be able to do all that. She could not jeopardise Sameer and Tanya's life.

But , if her mother even gave the slightest of hints of the truth about her ,to her brother then what will she do?

"Dad , Bhai it is true that mom announced this engagement without my consent! " she said.

Madhuri felt as if a cold water was splashed on her. Aditya stood up angered and Adhiraj waited for her too complete.
