☆ The brother on duty ☆

A few hours later~

Aditya trolled slowly in open corridor as the cool wind blew calming his senses.

"Sanam, I don't know what the problem is but I think there is something I am not aware of ! " He said over the call.

"...."

"I know my Anni and I know maa too. That is why I am concluding this."

"....."

"Yes , You have a point ! Why would dad agree to something he's unsure off. But another fact is , he trusts maa too much. And now Anni has also given her consent to this alliance so maa gets a upper hand "

"...."

"I can see beyond what she's is trying to show Sanam. Don't you feel the hollowness in her eyes. I don't know what is wrong with her. Maybe this is not so simple as it seems. There is something more to it. Something indecipherable! ." He spoke very sure of the whole thing.

His eyes went down and he saw someone leaning on railing of the balcony. He heeded downstairs curious to know who was there. However, the silhouette was of a man he knew very well.

"I'll talk to you later. Your cousin needs me now" he told over the call and hung up.

He patted on the man's shoulder and Shivaay turned around.

"Why are you here ? And why haven't you changed? "Aditya asked the question mentally guessing the answers.

Shivaay was hesitant to say anything. Why was he not in his room sleeping like always? Why was he so distressed all of a sudden? He didn't know what to say.

He was the who consoled her after the engagement and now he himself is distressed about all this.

"Don't have answers ? Aditya raised his brows.

"Well , don't answer because I know you'll lie too" Aditya added to his words taunting him.

"Why are you taunting me? I have done nothing! " Shivaay snickered.

"Exactly! You did nothing when you could have stopped all this just by accepting your feelings and acting on their accord." Aditya bellowed

"There is nothing like that! " Shivaay struggled to maintain his composure

"Oh really ? Then care to explain mister Shivaay Singh Oberoi that why are you standing here ? Share the reason of your distress! " Aditya fumed blown over his persistant behaviour.

Shivaay's silence was annoying Aditya. "Let me tell you , because Anni got engaged !" He spoke.

"And that too infront of your eyes. To add on it she said she loved Sameer !"

His words were like someone was slicing his heart slowly. His breath slightly uneven, eyes held gloom , and his face was bleak. It felt as if Annika's sun was hidden behind the dark clouds covering the radiance, the positivity and happiness it provides.

Aditya turned to leave the place still muttering something under his breath but stopped as Shivaay spoke up.

" I agree I am here because of her. Yes ! It felt bad. And it pained to see all that." Shivaay gravely snarled.

Aditya was solemn at his words. He looked on waiting for him to continue.

"I am worried , about her. I am worried for her. It doesn't matter if she got engaged. But what matters is that she got engaged without her will. She's going through a lot that too alone. I don't know what will she do if your mom told you the truth. She is scared of ..." Shivaay stopped himself on the right time.
