☆ "You trust me, right? "☆
'
Time runs away too quick'
Aditya always thought this when he missed his childhood. He had a loving childhood with a mom who loved him. A father who guided at every step. Uncle and aunt to support , grand parents to cheer and celebrate his every win. A brother to hug tight and have fun with and a little sister to care for , like a child.
' Like a child '.
He cared for her like that. Reason being that he always felt a sense of responsibility towards her. More than anything else he felt responsible for her well being.
Now when he is reconsidering about his childhood days all he could muse on was how he had a mother who loved 'just' him. A father who acted blind to everything around him. Grand parents who were helpless , a brother with similar life as his , and sister who yearned for everything he had. And he himself couldn't give her that.
He sat in the lawns of the palace decorated with flowers and curtains lost in his battle of point of views.
The theme of the function was white and yellow. His mother stood aside waiting for the haldi and mustard paste to arrive. He looked around and found Shivaay instructing the head of the servants and going towards the entrance.
Aditya was aware that Shivaay was being the lenient one because Annika couldn't tolerate any mess in this wedding.
He saw his sister coming towards them with a thaal which probably had the bowl of the haldi, mustard and sandalwood paste.
She was almost there when a group of kids ran past her and one of them bumped into her. She stumbled and tried to stabilise herself hard but tumbled down along with the thaal.
"Oh god! " Madhuri rushed towards her. And some of the guests surrounded her.
"What did you do , Annika! Because of you the haldi fell down ." She fretted standing beside her forgetting the presence of people around.
Annika winced a little as she tried to stand up. She would have fallen again but two hands caught her for support.
"Are you okay? "Aditya asked concerned.
"Yeah! I am fine" she assured as she tried to stand on her own feet without his support but yelped.
"If you can't do something then don't take the responsibility " Madhuri snarled as she gestured the servants to clean up.
Aditya looked at her frowning , disappointed at her act. Wasn't she supposed to check if her daughter was okay ?
But here she was scolding her infront of the guests.
"I think you should be worried about Anni and not the haldi. " He snapped , it was not knowingly intended but he did.Madhuri was taken aback by his conduct.
"Adi beta , I am just.."
"I don't need explanations mom." Madhuri went silent after that and thanked her stars that Adhiraj was not present there or he would've definitely disapproved of her behavior just like Aditya.
"Tai ji , its okay it was just a bowl of haldi we can have it made again. " Kartik tried to calm down Madhuri as he made his way to Annika and bent down examining her feet.
"Kartik, please look after the arrangements for the haldi and all that was in that platter." Aditya told to Kartik.
"Sure bhai ! " he looked at Annika and got up " I think it's a sprain don't worry it will be fine. I'll call the doctor"
