☆ Her pain ☆
Her phone buzzed for the umpteenth time in a single hour. But she didn't pick up. But glanced at it, the last call was from her elder brother.
It has been three days from the day she went for jewelry shopping with Shivaay. Kartik had proposed that he would get the best collection from udaipur based sighania's. And she was okay with it until her work was done.
The next day she had personally helped Sanam in shopping ,managed the office work and the guest list was yet to finalize. Her brother's outfit was yet to be out for display.
She tried hard to be patient, to not yell and talk politely but no one saw her issues. She tried hard to be always smiling, happy Annika but couldn't. She was transformed in this reserved, silent ,sarcastic, impatient and rude girl.
And on the top of everything her dear mother managed to provoke her. The wedding venue was decided, even the required renovation and changes were done. She was putting everything to make this wedding a blast but her mother was busy pointing out her drawbacks.
"The wedding card selected is not of the Singhal standard and the changes in the haveli were not good enough. I believe that it was way better like that only !"
These were her words and Annika had enough. Everything resulted in back answering her mother and leaving mansion without having anything.
For now she was at the Starbucks stirring her classic cappuccino. She hadn't gone to office neither was receiving calls, for sure her brother and father would have turned the mansion upside down by now.
She hardly got time for herself, so this was a kind of win-win for her. But she wasn't enjoying this.
Her phone vibrated again bringing her out of her thoughts.
'Shivaay'
She twisted her lips unpleasantly surprised, she hadn't and didn't want to talk to him. Him! Of all people chose to give her a lecture that day in the car.
Agreed that he was right, but he knew why she is like this.
If only he didn't knew, then everything would have been better. At least she wouldn't be thinking of him as a... She didn't had a word.
Her stomach grumbled and she quickly sipped on her cappuccino. Her watch showed three in the afternoon maybe now she should go back.
Hell! Go back to all the ruckus. She wished to return back to the silence of her apartment. Where she worked, ate and slept, no conversation, no confrontation, no flashback and no taunts.
Was it her fault that her father fell for her mother?
Was it her fault she was born?
Was it her fault her grandfather loved her more?
No! She knew the answer.
But she couldn't do anything, in this whole world only three people who mattered to her.
Both her brothers and her father. And the the trio was unaware of the cruel reality.
She got up from the table and played the bill and made her way out. She wanted to cry, at least that helped her lessen the weight of pain in her heart.
Unlocking her Hyundai white creta she drove, to where ?
Unknown to her.
Just the next second her gaze landed on the keyring hanging from the rear view mirror. It had a picture of the three of them, her brothers and herself. She smiled sadly it was ironic how she had the biggest truth about them hidden from them!
