☆ Her  Absence ☆

There is never a night or a problem that could defeat sunrise or hope.

With morning came new opportunities, positive thoughts, hope and most importantly courage to face what may come.

Annika wore her simple diamond studs and pushed back a strand of hair awayfrom her eyes. The satin mustard yellow palazzo pants with a long same coloured kurta. Her studs which were gifted by Kartik on her birthday three years back.

She checked out herself and found everything in place. With a look of determination on her face she left the room.

The mojris made a slight sounds as she walked towards Aditya's room. The day was packed and her brother had to be on time.

She knocked on the door and called out. "Bhai wake up !"

A few seconds later she repeated her earlier words in a higher octave.

She a muffled 'yeah ' and opened the door. Peeking inside and she found him sitting on the bed leaning on the headrest still with closed eyes.

"Why it is that the day I feel really sleepy you show up to disturb me?" He questioned not opening his eyes.

"Get up , the korath is scheduled at eight in the morning. " she said and shook him slightly.

He mumbled something more under his breath and then spoke up "Okay dadi amma "

Annika chuckled at him and gestured to go and take a bath. He now stood up there staring at her annoyed without any reason. Well Annika was not surprised because Aditya somehow always was grumpy in the mornings. Especially those mornings which were busy.

"Take out what I need to wear today. And if there is any safa then you will have to help me with that" he ordered.

She grinned at his words. Her dear elder brother didn't know how to tie it properly. Not his fault though, it was the time when everything came ready made.

"Sorry Brother but I have a grand traditional marwari wedding to look after so alot of work to do." She arrogantly said but didn't move an inch.

"Nothing is more important than me right now, Anni. And yes! Today you have to be with me all the time. Your work can be done by anyone. " he replied in the same way.

He is the groom and today is his day!

"But.."

"No buts" with that said Aditya got in the washroom.

Annika bit her lips and moved to his closet. Took out the plain white kurta and pajama. The jacket on it was white too with mustard yellow pocket square.

"Bhai , your clothes are kept on the bed. I'll be back with your breakfast in some time." She told him.

She smiled at the irony as she walked out , here she couldn't attend his wedding and he wanted her to be with him all the time.

Yes! She had once again chosen to bow down , just for this day. No matter how bad she felt but she was determined to not let her efforts go in vain.
