The plan was set and the game had began. Aditya Singhal was determined to set everything right.

"This was unexpected!" He said as the trio sat in the study.

"I have this intuition that it is a planned thing. Why will this happen on the day Anni was finally go to say no to marry. Or think like this , yesterday's incident it's logical if anyone tried to paint Anni in that dim light. You know, just to stop her or make it look like she is the one at fault." Kartik spoke his mind and Aditya nodded in agreement.

It made sense and he had only one person in mind who could be responsible for it.

"I am sorry for everything" Shivaay muttered.

Aditya raised his brows in question. "About the article, I should have been aware of it. I should have been alert. Everyone will be talking nonsense about us, mostly her. I have talked to my team to handle this but what's done can't be changed." Shivaay explained.

Aditya released a breath before saying "we'll have to release a statement for that purpose. You don't have to apologize, you didn't even do anything. So let it be. I am more worried about mom"

"What about her?"

"The way dad behaved I am sure dad is pissed at mom. Mom didn't seem like a person who'd let things turn against herself easily. I don't know how will she react to the lawyer. Will she even accept that she told Anni about the will? Will she admit that she was blackmailing Anni by scaring her?" Aditya poured out his thoughts.

"Hey, buddy don't worry she will. Just keep praying that your sister doesn't ended doing something to keep this fact hidden."

"That's a addition to my concerns!" Aditya remarked slumping in the sofa with a tired sign.

He was walking out to the hall to leave the mansion when finally he caught her coming from the other side.

Noticing him her steps faltered. Perhaps she was awkward, just like him. But he knew she was in need of assurance. He scampered to her and she looked at him expectantly.

"Are you fine?" He slowly asked what he wanted to from the moment he had entered.

She was facing to the front while he stood facing her side. She had a lost expression on her face. He was busy reading her.

"Yeah, I am. Thank you for showing up. I was kind of blank at that moment." She replied and he was right she was hesitant and awkward.

How will she react to his feelings for her? The answer was for another time.

"I had to, I am sure you didn't even know about it until Sameer's mother told you." He gestured her to walk and absentmindedly started walking to the hall even though she was going in the opposite direction.

"So what's next?" He asked.

"Nothing, I am going to concentrate on the project Bhai has given to me. Finish it as soon as possible and.." she stopped midway. He was her brother's best friend first. He might tell him what she was planning.

"And?"

"Focus on things in my hands." She completed.

They were at the entrance now and he stopped. He took a deep breath in held her hands and said "I am always around, you just have to turn back. Remember Annika, if you don't trust your self no one else will" lightly squeezing then he left her and turned to go.
