☆ 'I love you Annika ' ☆
Annika walked to the railing and stood leaning on it staring at the artificial lake in front. She could see the the first main door of the palace where hustle bustle had not stopped. And wouldn't stop before the wedding is over.
Shivaay looked at them from far for the last time before going back to the hall with a cheerful smile on.
Sameer was standing beside her. He was unable to find words to say. For the first time he was filled with trepidation before talking with Annika.
Heck! He didn't even know if he should apologize for his actions or question her for her doings? .
"Doesn't Tanya know this?" Annika asked having already guessed the answer to be negative.
"I didn't had the courage to do so. I can't face myself for doing this to her.
Please don't take me wrong. I didn't know a thing of this. Mom just had to play her emotional cards ,I couldn't help but feel guilty about whatever happened between my parents and agree to whatever she desires" Sameer poured his heart.Annika wondered about how their mothers were playing the villain in both their respective lives.
"So what ! You will just do whatever she wants? Don't you know the words 'no, I can't' ?" She asked annoyingly.
She turned to him with her eyes narrowed and hands resting on her waist.
"You know I can't deny her Annika. She is my mother , I can do anything but disappoint her. At least not after what she has done for me." he defended himself not turning to her.
Sameer's mother and father had mutually agreed for a divorce. However little fifteen years old Sameer didn't want to get separated from any of his parent. Hence, requested his mother , for he knew she could go to any extent for his happiness.
Mrs taneja though apprehensive but talked about it with her husband and for Sameer they rekindled , reformed their relationship. Not in love but the couple was cordial with each other.
Annika looked at him with sympathy. She knew he loved his mother too much. And his mom wouldn't approve of Tanya as her prospective daughter in law.
However, Mrs taneja admired Annika. And this fact was used by her very own mother.
"What do I do Annika? " He whispered staring in oblivion
"I think you should talk to your mom once" she offered.
"I cannot. Mom has made herself very clear. Dad is also with her" he said distressed.
"Then maybe you can try to talk to Tanya and make her understand that you can't marry her, for now ." She said and Sameer stared at her frowning.
"Don't give me that look. See, your mom is setting up you with me because she doesn't want you to be with Tanya. If you break up with her then you will not be forced to marry me " she completed being extremely frank with her words.
"I love you Annika! You are very special to me. But your words didn't do any good to me" he whined.
"My problem is not Tanya. It is mom who needs to understand which she never does !. What we have is compatibility and friendship between us and not love. I can't marry you! Neither I can let mom down nor I want to let go Tanya away from me"
"So what do you want to do?" This time she asked him turning to her previous position.
"I don't know, I am lost. You tell me why you came to the stage and played along? " He turned to her and leaned back on the railing.
