☆The bad news☆The truth will set you free, but first it will make you miserable.
And slowly it really was
Aditya in twenty nine years of his being had never spent a single day without talking to her. Back when she was in London even then he called her when she didn't pick up he called the caretaker and her friends to know about her.
Three days of his wedding and he had not shared a single conversation with her. She tried apologise but he didn't pay attention to her words. Mostly because he didn't want her to do it. She was not suppose to do it. She did nothing to be sorry.
But Kartik later told him that she took his ignorance to her apologies as his anger. He wanted to correct her that he can never be angry with her.
But then it was better this way he didn't want her to know that he was digging up his parents past.
He stopped the car in front of the building. His eyes taking in the white building and billboard reading Bansal college and hospital.
The hospital was running for around thirty five years and his family doctor worked here. He had a talk with the now middle aged woman and found that both Madhuri and Swarna had the same gynaecologist during their pregnancy.
That meant he could find out some clue about Annika's birth. That day the night before his wedding he had heard them saying that she's not his own. They don't share the same blood. This could mean a lot of things.
DNA test samples were already given by him to one of his trusted doctor friend. Now only results remained.
But he also needed to see his mother's reports. He nodded at the receptionist who told him that the doctor was waiting for him.
He opened the door to the cabin and was greeted by the lady smiling at him.
"Please have a seat Mr Singhal."
He smiled slightly nodding at her and took a seat. He didn't know how to initiate the conversation.
He wanted to confirm if it was his mother's who gave birth to his sister. How was he supposed to ask that?
"Don't hesitate ,you can ask whatever you want to." She said judging by his silence.
"Doctor, It's a sensitive issue and I want you to be very honest with me." She nodded at him and he continued
"My family doctor told me me that you were the gynaecologist under whom mom and my aunt under went their deliveries"
He took a deep breath before he before continuing.
"I want to see her reports. Can you do something about that?"
"We can't give a patients reports or their details to anyone." the doctor said slightly apologetic.
"She is my mother! " Aditya reason out. "And these are more thar twenty years old reports I am talking about."
"I doubt if they are in the basement of the hospital where old records of patients are kept. There are least chances of hard copies but I think some reports of patients have soft copies too."
"I'll still want to check." He insisted.
"Okay then I'll tell one of the ward boys to check and inform. You'll have to wait for at least a day."
"Do you mind if I myself do it?"
"You want too?" She asked amused and he nodded.
"For my satisfaction, I want to" he said.
