Frenemy Companions

Chapter -22

The cool wind blew on her face and her hair. It was late at night.  Annika sat on the railing of the extended balcony.

The same balcony where she had a date with Shivaay not long ago. Today the ganpati sathapana was done. And officially Aditya and Sanam were not allowed to meet.

She smiled at the thought of finally seeing them together forever. Her brother had waited long for this. They were such cuties. Even though they not allowed to meet she knew they are hardly following it.

Her mind shifted to Om and Gauri's exchange she had witnessed this evening.  She could see the spark between them. She would be the happiest if they ended up together.

Weird she was to come to a conclusion this soon. But it was not the first time she had seen Om and Gauri like this.

They didn't personally knew each other. Just had met two to three times but she couldn't help but wish that!

Day after tomorrow was the sangeet. Tomorrow she'll have to be up early to start of with theme decorations. 

She was startled when suddenly from both sides Shivaay and Aditya appeared with Sanam.

"God! You guys scared the hell out of me " she exclaimed.

Aditya chuckled and ruffled her hair. Shivaay said nothing but he looked calm just as the water of the lake ahead.

"Weren't you both restricted to see each other? " she asked to Aditya and Sanam.

"Well when I have this best friend of mine then do I really need to worry?  Shivaay helped me to seek out with Sanam " Aditya answered jovially.

"I should have guessed it. He is the devil here!"

Shivaay snickered at her comment but didn't say anything. The party of four was now silent. Just enjoying the calm wind. The moon and beauty of Surajgarh.

His gaze landed on the entwined hands of Sanam and Aditya.  He smiled and unknowingly his gaze shifted to her.

She on the other hand was going through a turmoil of emotions.  She hadn't forgotten her mother's threat.  She wondered if Madhuri revealed the truth to Aditya or anyone for that matter !

May be she should talk and request her to not do this. Or she should talk to Aditya? But then he will ask lots of questions ,she wouldn't be able to answer.

God knew what was awaiting her. She glance around her and found three of them busy in their own world.

Aditya and Sanam were whispering to each other while was he staring in to obvilion, with a small smile on his face.

She smiled, at his faraway look. His eyes contained a mixture of feelings and that small smile was like a small hope in a disastrous situation.

His little advice rung in her ears.

'Think before you oblige to someone.  Fight for your right if they are worth it'.

She came to the conclusion to tackle the situation.  She will not let Aditya get disappointed on her. 

But!

She will have to talk to Madhuri about it.  Some middle way would have to be found.

"I am telling you this has too much sugar!" Shivaay scrunched his nose at extremely sweet dessert.

"Let me taste it. For him even half a teaspoon of sugar is too much!"Annika intervened.

From the morning Annika was looking after the decor and now she was tasting the food. 

The rest of the family was busy with choreographer for the sangeet.
