I was told to write more happy Florida and I'm pretty sure @blackwolves16 will murder me at lunch tomorrow if I don't

Florida laid flat down on his bed groaning.

"So uh, what's up with him?" New York asked, leaning on the doorway of his room.

"I don't know. I just came home from lunch and found him like this." California muttered. Florida let out another groan, and his two partners looked at each other in concern.

"Dia, what's wrong?" California called. Florida just let out another groan, not answering the nation-state.

"I'm going to get Georgia." New York announced leaving California to watch Florida as he went to search for the southern state. California sighed and took off his glasses to rub his eyes, just as DC approached.

"Okay, what's going on? It's way too quiet in the house." DC announced.

"Dia's upset." California explained putting his glasses back on. DC turned to look at his partner, who was still laying face down in bed, in concern.

"What? He was fine two hours ago, he was just package stealing with Loui." DC pointed out. New York came back, dragging a very sleepy Georgia behind him.

"He's in there, he won't talk to us." New York announced. Georgia yawned and stepped into Florida's room, sitting on the edge of the bed as Florida let out another groan. Sensing they wanted to have a private conversation, the three boyfriends slipped away into the hall, waiting their turn.

"Did Disneyworld close again? That's how he was last time." California whispered.

"Nah it's open, did Loui and him have a fight?" New York asked.

"I'm worried, I haven't seen him this down in awhile." DC pointed out. The three turned at someone clearing their throat, facing Georgia who was now in the doorway.

"It's his birthday." Georgia began.

"Wha? That was two weeks ago, we had a party for him!" New York yelled.

"His dad didn't call on his birthday." Georgia added, silencing the three. Oh.

"But he didn't seem that upset two weeks ago." DC whispered gently.

"Yeah he seemed really happy after getting drunk then belly flopping into the cake." California pointed out.

"I think he expected Spain to call at least sometime; I think he's now realizing that he'll never call." Georgia said with a shrug. DC bit his lip and moved past the southern states and his boyfriends back into Florida's room. Florida remained face down on the bed, but was more quiet then he had been, clearly talking to Georgia had gotten some of his emotions out.

"Dia?" DC whispered.

"Spain really hates me huh." Florida muttered and DC sighed.

"Forget about that donor, you don't need him." New York pointed out, re-entering the room with California.

"Just one happy birthday, that's all I want." Florida argued, finally picking up his head.

"Blossom, is there anything we can do to make you feel better?" California asked gently.

"Find me a better dad?" Florida asked.

"Uh trust me, if we could we'd find some ourselves." New York pointed out. Florida groaned again and put his head back into the pillow. DC looked desperately around the room for anything that could make Florida happy. His eyes fell on the pin board hanging up on the wall, and the row of 'first time at Disneyworld!' pins on the bottom. There were five all neatly together, symbolizing the five boyfriends Florida had taken to Disney over the course of forming their relationship. Florida was desperate to get back so he could give DC that experience too, especially since the government didn't have much of a childhood anyway.

DC was going to regret this.

"Do you....do you want to show me Disney World?" DC asked. Florida's head shot up.

"Dee? You wanna go?" Florida gasped.

"Rosie are you mad? It's a COVID crockpot!" California yelled.

"Look as long as we stay in one park--"

"Hello! Time's a tickin' here!" Florida yelled and the boyfriend's turned to see the peninsula, now fully charged, standing in the doorway with his sunglasses on and sunscreen already gathered on his body.

"Welp. It's your funeral. Bring a mask." New York teased as DC gulped. The things he was willingly to do to cheer up one of his boyfriends.

"And we need one of those first time at Disney pins." Florida announced to the ticket holder as DC and Florida stood at the counter. DC shuffled his feet and looked nervously around at all the tourists and Florida-natives hovering around them. This was a mistake, there were way too many people.

"Y'know what Dia." DC began. "Maybe we should've moved this to a different day." DC announced as Florida turned around.

"Nope. We're doing this now." Florida said proudly sticking a pin on DC's dress shirt. DC looked down at the pin and smiled softly before his face grew serious.

"Can you at least wear a mask?" DC asked.

"I'll put one on when we go in, let's go!" Florida called dragging DC into the park with the other tourists and Florida-natives. As soon as DC entered Magic Kingdom, he was hit with the smell of various food cooking and songs that he couldn't recognize playing over the mummering of adults and screams of children.

"It's....certainly crowded." DC muttered regretting his former boss not forcing Disney World to close until everyone was vaccinated. "Maybe we should take it easy...."

"No way, I've already got Fast Passes for Big Thunder Railroad and Space Mountain. Let's go." Florida announced dragging DC off. All throughout the day, DC was dragged onto ride after ride after ride. Florida wouldn't let him rest for a minute, telling him about the rides he could remember when Disney first opened, how he snuck in as they were building the park, and claiming that Walt once gave him his first cigarette. DC couldn't help but eventually let go and have fun; Florida was kind enough to go on 'It's a Small World' three times, and didn't make fun of the fact that he actually enjoyed the song.

But the food was the best part; DC tried resisting having some infamous Disney World food because he claimed he was full enough from "lunch" (which was really just coffee) but Florida insisted, and they were soon sharing snacks and comparing food, getting into arguments about which was the best. In short, Florida had an amazing day showing DC what Disney World was and DC hoped that he made his boyfriend at least forget a little about his troubles from earlier.

DC fell asleep faster then his head hit the pillow that night, sore from walking and quite full from all the food. He smiled a little as Florida crawled in next to him, laying on his chest and smiling as he looked at the pin board on the wall, DC's pin now included in his other four boyfriend's. Florida glanced up at the sleeping fed and gently kissed his lips, putting his head back on his chest.

"Thanks Dee." Florida whispered. "You always know how to make me feel better."
