When Alaska was first bought, he'd cry a lot.

I think he'd stay with Confederation too and not that the jackass did anything to ease his 'holy shit my dad just sold me' fears 

He remembers a little boy, who often looked beat up, coming to visit him and giving him food, even though the boy looked like he barely ate himself

Basically DC and Alaska were childhood friends, but Alaska doesn't fully remember him since he's all grown up now (and DC didn't start the meetings until 2020).

When he does remember him, Alaska is proud that DC didn't grow up to be such a government robot and all DC can do is smile and be like 'well....I had some help'
