California finished chopping up some vegetables in the kitchen and placed them carefully on a plate, turning around and facing Riley who was happily coloring in her Frozen coloring book.

"Here you go Riley, a nice health snack for you." California announced placing the plate down in front of the toddler. Riley stuck up her nose.

"I don't want vegetables." Riley whined.

"Oh Riley, vegetables are good for growing little girls." California pointed out.

"Candy?" Riley asked.

"No, candy has high fructose syrup that stunts your growth and rots your teeth." California explained. Riley pouted.

"I want to pwlay with Unkle Dee." Riley whimpered.

"Uncle Dee has a lot of work to do Riley, but you've still got us!" California pointed out. Riley pouted again and California turned around to wash the utensils he used to fix up Riley's snack. He finished washing the knife just as he heard a crinkling of a bag, and whipped around.

"ROSIE." California scolded putting his hand's on his hips. DC was crouching down next to Riley with one of his (many) bags of candy letting her dig in for some.

"What? She's only two!" DC pointed out, mouthful of candy already.

"Yay gummies!" Riley cheered taking out a bunch of gummy worms. California rolled his eyes.

"You're a terrible influence." California teased.

"You love me." DC said with a wink.

"Are you two together?" Riley asked, making the two states freeze. DC looked at California for help and California puffed up his chest proudly.

"Why yes Riley." California announced. "We are together."

"Cooooool." Riley gasped stars in her eyes.

"Why can a two year old understand this, but some politicians can't?" California said with a sigh. Before DC could answer, the front door banged open and Florida and Louisiana skidded inside already wet.

"RILEY." Florida yelled running over to the two-year-old. "Wanna help prank someone with us?"

"OTAY!" Riley cheered as Louisiana picked her up and carried her outside.

"WAIT THAT'S A BAD IDEA--" DC yelled before feeling his face being turned.

"C'mon rosie let 'em have some fun." California said softly, taking a gummy from his bag. "Besides, there's no one in the house anyway." DC grinned and took one end of the gummy getting it close to his mouth.

"You're so awful." DC teased biting the end of the gummy worm.

"You're worse." California said with a wink biting his end of the gummy worm and the two eating it together until their lips touched in a kiss.

Later that afternoon, DC was attempting to dry off Riley after a water balloon fight between Louisiana, Florida, and Connecticut and Pennsylvania which was mostly one sided since the three snuck up on the two while they were trying just to relax on the front lawn. Riley was drenched but not as bad as Florida who, to his credit, dove in front of every retaliated water balloon thrown at her so she wouldn't get too wet.

"Dat was fun!" Riley said grinning.

"Is your mom going to be mad?" DC asked.

"Nah, mommy doesn't care." Riley announced. DC chuckled and wrapped Riley up in a towel, picking her up and carrying her out of the bathroom.

"Well I'm all done with work today, so we can hang out. What do you want to do?" DC asked.

"Can I paint your nails?" Riley asked.

"Sure do you have nail polish?" DC asked putting the two-year-old down. Riley nodded and dashed over to the bag her mother brought with her, digging through the pockets until she came up with two Frozen themed bottles of nail polish; one light blue and one pink.

"Blue or pink?" Riley asked.

"Surprise me." DC said with a smile going into the living room and sitting on the floor. Riley tossed the pink nail polish aside and skipped into the living room and plopped down in front of DC.

"So who's that?" DC asked, pointing to the character on the nail polish bottle as Riley opened it.

"Dat's Queen Elsa, she's from the movie Frozen." Riley explained beginning to paint the fed's nails, very sloppy but DC didn't care.

"What's that about?" DC asked, ignoring how half his fingers were blue now. Growing up with a twin sister, he was used to weird make-overs and sloppy cosmetic jobs. Riley nearly dropped the nail polish brush in shock.

"HAVEN'T YOU SEEN FROZEN?" Riley gasped.

"Riley he hasn't seen most Disney movies." Alaska said from the couch making the two jump.

"How long have you been there?" DC asked.

"Well. I came in right when you were bringing Riley in and yelling at Louisiana that 'total warfare wasn't a thing in water balloon fights'." Alaska explained.

"So awhile." DC said with a sigh before turning back to Riley. "No sweetheart, I've never seen Frozen."

"WE NEED TO WATCH IT." Riley announced as Florida tumbled into the house, drenched from head to foot.

"OOH what are we watching?" Florida asked.

"Frozen." DC explained, taken aback by Florida's groan.

"That movie couldn't we watch anything else?" Florida whined.

"PWLEASE Unkle Dia?" Riley begged putting on her best puppy dog eyes.

"Yeah, please Uncle Dia?" DC copied, doing his own puppy dog eyes at his boyfriend. Florida narrowed his eyes as he looked between the toddler and his partner.

"The double puppy dog eyes." Florida hissed before turning to DC. "You're lucky I love you."

"HUZZUH!" Riley cheered falling into DC's lap. "Let's watch Queen Elsa!"
