Part 5

Yin couldn't sleep at all. He kept thinking about War taking North to the library. The library is a special place for them but he will take North? The guy he doesn't like at all. He couldn't let War take someone else to the library. He regretted changing plans. He should've just gone to the beach another day. War has been his ride or die since they were kids and he changed him for other people.

"Ah!" -Yin covered himself with the pillow and screamed.

It was 1 am and Yin still couldn't sleep. He decided to text his friends cancelling the trip and moving it to next week. No one answered because it was late.

The sun was out. Yin woke up. He got up to shower and changed. He had to get to War's house earlier.

"Good morning" -Fluke said. He was in the kitchen when he heard someone come downstairs.

"Good morning" -Yin said going in the kitchen.

"Happy Birthday sweetheart" -Fluke said hugging him. Yin hugged him back.

"Thank you apa" -Yin said smiling.

"Are you ready for the beach? Don't forget to take sunscreen" -Fluke said. Yin bit his lip.

"I am not going. I changed it for next week" -Yin said.

"Why?" -They heard Ohm entering the kitchen.

"Happy birthday my boy" -Ohm said grabbing Yin by his shoulder and pulling him into a hug.

"Thanks dad" -Yin said hugging back. Fluke smiled seeing them.

"Why aren't you going to the beach?" -Ohm asked.

"I want to go to the library" -Yin said. Ohm and Fluke looked at each other.

"You wanted to go to the beach with your friends" -Fluke said.

"Yeah but I rather be with War" -Yin said. Fluke gave a nod.

"Is it because he wanted to invite that boy you don't like?" -Ohm asked. Yin was silent.

"He is making new friends Yin. You can't just interfere because you don't like that boy. You were the one to change plans on him. Don't be like that." -Fluke said honestly. He noticed how Yin was sometimes possessive. For example right now, he was allowed to change plans but if War did it he would be mad.

"I am allowed to change my mind. It is my birthday and the library is our place" -Yin said.

"The library is for everyone to go with anyone. Besides do you think War would want to go with you after changing plans and treating him like that at dinner yesterday?" -Ohm said.

"Why can't you be on my side?" -Yin said angrily.

"We are always on your side Yin. But we have to honest with you" -Fluke said.

"Whatever. I am going to Uncle Earth's house" -Yin said and walked away.

"We didn't even give him his gifts" -Fluke said. Ohm got closer and hugged him.

"He'll be back later" -Ohm said. They heard the door close. Ohm grabbed Fluke by his waist and placed him on the counter. Fluke bit his lip. He knew what was next.

Kao went to buy some groceries that Earth had on a list. War was still asleep. Earth was organizing some stuff in the kitchen when he heard the gate be opened. It wasn't Kao. He went to the front door and went outside to the porch. He saw Yin get out of the car.

"Good morning sweety. Happy Birthday" -Earth said surprised seeing Yin there.

"Good morning Uncle Earth. Thank you" -Yin said. Earth hugged him.
