Cousins

Part 15

It was friday morning, Earth and Kao had packed the night before for their trip. They wanted Milli to stay home with War but he didn't want. It would only be one night.

"Ok. So be careful. We will be back soon. Call us if you need anything" -Earth said hugging War.

"Make sure you put the alarm. Don't leave the house" -Kao said hugging both of them.

"Yes. It will only be one night" -War said to his parents who were crushing him.

"Have a safe trip" -War said and left for school.

Ohm and Fluke were ready too. Fluke wanted to take Yin with them but Ohm and Yin said no.

"Take care. Please behave" -Ohm said.

"Yes dad" -Yin said and Fluke hugged him.

"If you can check on War, please do. Your uncle Earth said he will stay on his own too" -Fluke said. Yin just nodded.

"I love you" -Fluke said and hugged him tighter.

"It will only be one night. Go to school" -Ohm said first to Fluke and then to Yin.

"Have fun" -Yin said to his parents and left for school.

Yin and War didn't talk at school. War had to concentrate on his missing assignments and so did Yin. They felt different now. Yin's headaches were gone and War felt better after being sad for so many days.

"Hey. Did you ask your dad?" -North said to War. He walking War to practice.

"I did but they said no. They will be out of town so I can't go out" -War said. He didn't really ask his parents but he knew the answer and wasn't in the mood to go to parties.

"Oh. That sucks. Well maybe if you will be on your own I can come over and watch a movie or something" -North said. That did sound fun but War didn't want to ruin his party.

"You don't have to. I can be alone and I have so much homework. Have fun in your party. We can go out some other day" -War said smiling. North nodded.

"I'll see you later then" -North said as they reached the swimming pool area.

"Yeah. Have fun" -War said and went in the lockers to change. North went to practice. Yin hadn't gone the day before and it felt nice. He didn't have to worry about fighting.

Practice for War went great. His times were getting even better. Bar wanted him to be in the main competition again in a month.

Yin and North had to sit at the bench during practice and had to pick up the balls and everything else at the end. They had a small argument on the locker after Yin heard North saying to a friend that he might cancel tha party because he wanted to spend the night with a friend. North wasn't rude, he just said that he would spend the night, he didn't say anything else or who it was but Yin knew he was talking about War. Although sex wasn't mentioned in North's conversation with a friend, Yin took it the wrong way and pushed North against the locker. Everyone was confused as to what was happening. The coach was already tired of their behavior so he sat them down and made them clean up afterwards.

War got home and he was alone. It felt weird not to have his parents home but it was nice too. Milli had left lunch for him. He was changing clothes when his phone rang. It was Yin.

"Hey" -War answered.

"Hey. What are you doing?" -Yin asked.

"I am going to eat. What is it?" -War said. Yin's voice sounded like he was mad.

"Nothing. I just-- should I come over? Or you should come over so we aren't alone" -Yin said. War furrowed his eyebrows. His parents told him not to leave the house.
