Part 30

"Hello" -North said to War. He had gotten out of his car for school and North walked to him.

"Hi" -War said softly. He looked sick.

"Are you okay?" -North asked. War nodded.

"You were absent a lot" -North said.

"I know. I was sick and my dad said to stay home." -War lied. North was his friend but couldn't tell him the truth.

"Are you feeling better?" -North asked.

"I am" -War said and gave him a weak smile.

"I called you and texted you but you never answer. You are mean." -North said in a mocking sulky voice.

"I am sorry." -War said laughing. He hadn't smiled in the past week.

"So, have you thought about Singapore? The camp is cool. You will like it" -North said to War. He didn't even remember about it.

"I will ask my pa today if I can go" -War said. North smiled widely. War had to be away this break. He had to stop thinking about Yin.

"Also, we should go eat after practice." -North said and War nodded. North was surprised, they never had time to hang out but today was different.

"Meet me behind the library, please." -War got a text from Yin. But he ignored it. It wouldn't be whatever he wanted. He was tired of this. It was over.

War went straight to practice after school was over. Bar was happy he was back. They had one last match before winter break. War had ti practice because he was a main swimmer.

"War. Your times aren't good. You missed so much." -Bar said concerned.

"I know. I am sorry. I won't miss again." -War said. He left everything behind to be sad and it caught up to him.

"You can go" -Bar said to everyone. War saw his phone and it had many missed calls from Yin and some texts pleading for them to meet but War ignored all of it again.

"You okay?" -James asked Yin. He was sitting on the locker room looking at his phone. War didn't even read all his texts.

"Yeah" -Yin said but James could see something was wrong.

"Yin. I am your friend, you can talk to me" -James said but Yin was already annoyed by everything.

"I am fine" -Yin said and left the locker room.

Yin had to talk to War. He went to look for him but saw him getting in a car with North.

"Shit" -Yin said to himself. He tried not to be angry and jealous because War told him that North had a person already but it was really hard.

Yin got home and went to his room. He kept calling him but after a few calls, War turned off his phone.

"Dammit!" -Yin threw his phone to the wall breaking it.

"What is going on?" -Fluke entered Yin's bedroom after hearing the sound of the phone breaking and Yin's scream.

"Dad said to fix things but he doesn't want to answer his phone! He doesn't want to talk to me! I need him back! I hurt him again, I can't let him hate me!" -Yin let out with a scream and covered his face with both hands to cry.

"Yin. Calm down. He is mad right now. Give him time." -Fluke said.

"I can't believe I did this. What if he doesn't want to be with me anymore? What if he doesn't love me anymore?" -Yin said. He couldn't stop crying.

"Yin he has been in love with you since you were kids. He won't stop loving you just like that. Give him time. He is heartbroken, he just needs time." -Fluke said. He walked closer to Yin and hugged him.

"Uncle Kao won't let me be near him anymore. He said I would hurt him and he was right. I am such a bad person." -Yin said.

"You are not a bad person. You are just young and dumb." -Fluke said with a small chuckle trying to make him laugh a little but it didn't work. Yin was still crying.

"Listen. Your Uncle Kao will understand because he was young and dumb once too. He hurt your Uncle Earth a lot too. But at the end he forgave him and now they have a beautiful family. Everything will be okay, sweetheart." -Fluke said hugging him. They were sitting on the floor for a long time. They were silent and hugging each other. Fluke let Yin cry on his arms. He was a little mad at him for hurting War but he was his son after all. Yin needed him.

Ohm came back home and found Yin and Fluke sleeping on the bedroom floor. Yin had his eyes swollen again. He put a blanket over them and went to shower.

Kao came back home. War was sitting down on the dining area waiting to have dinner with his parents. Kao was somewhat happy that he finally came down to eat with them after a whole week.

"Go change so we can eat together" -Earth told Kao. Kao nodded and went to the bedroom to change.

They were having a silent dinner. War was going to ask his parents permission to go to the camp during the break.

"Can I go to the camp with Dr. Beam?" -War asked looking only at Earth.

"What camp?" -Kao asked.

"It is a winter camp in Singapore. North goes every year. Dr. Beam is the sponsor. They have many activities for students." -Earth said. He wanted War to go and have a distraction.

"You don't want to spend new years with us?" -Kao asked. War was silent.

"I think it is a good idea for you to go to the camp. We can go to Singapore too." -Earth said to War and then to Kao. Kao raised his eyebrows.

"I'll think about it" -Kao said. War was silent the rest of the dinner.
