Cousins

Part 8

Yin and War were woken up by the alarm. It was time to go to school. They were still hugging. Yin didn't want to let go.

"Let go" -War said trying to get out of bed.

"10 more minutes" -Yin said hugging him tighter.

Earth opened the door and War quickly got out of bed. Yin sat down.

"Good morning Uncle Earth" -Yin said. War grabbed his towel and went to take a shower.

"Good morning to you two" -Earth said looking at War as he walked out the door. War gave in really fast. He knew War had forgiven Yin already.

"Get ready" -Earth said to Yin and closed the door.

Yin stood up and looked for some of his clothes he has left there. He was so tired. He fell asleep until War fell asleep.

War came back changed. He didn't know what to say to him. It usually was normal after a fight but yesterday they kissed.

"I'm gonna shower really quick" -Yin said and War nodded.

When he was out of the room, War looked at himself in the mirror. What did that kiss mean yesterday? He wanted to ask Yin but was awkward and what if Yin just wanted to reconcile?

War went downstairs to have breakfast. Kao was still upstairs getting ready for work. Earth was in the kitchen reading something on his laptop. Milli was making breakfast and lunch for War and Yin.

Earth looked at War and raised his eyebrows.

"What?" -War said in a soft voice.

"What time did he get here?" -Earth said.

"He came back as soon as he left" -War said.

"You forgive too easy. He was mean" -Earth said trying to knock some sense onto War but he knew that when it came to Yin he was always weak. 

"He didn't know his friend lied about North" -War said with a soft voice again.

"mmm" -Earth said turning back to his laptop.

He sat down to have breakfast. Yin and Kao came down together. Kao was happy that Yin and War had made up.

"I will pick you up today" -Earth said to War.

"I can bring him" -Yin said. Earth closed his laptop. He was still not over Yin's bad behavior during dinner.

"I said I would pick him up" -Earth said. Yin slowly nodded.

"Lets go" -Kao said. They couldn't have breakfast becuase they had a meeting.

"Uncle Earth is mad at me" -Yin said to War after Kao and Earth left.

"Yeah" -War said because it was true. Yin sat down to have breakfast with War. They went to school after that.

The drive was quiet. They didn't know what to say. Yin was nervous to say something about the kiss and War was scared to ask.

They got to school. Yin was going to walk War to his classroom but as usual every morning Ploy would approach them. War saw her.

"I'll see you later" -War said and walked away.

"Hey" -Ploy said to Yin.

"Hi" -Yin said. He wanted to follow War but he needed to talk to Ploy.

"Lets walk together" -Ploy said and they did.

"So, I- North went to War's house yesterday. They are friends and I don't actually like him because of what he did to you back then, remember?" -Yin said. He didn't want to ask directly.
