He knew he wasn't that old Ronnie anymore. He had a girlfriend, they were a team. And Willow... he had to be a better man because of her. So she'd grow up knowing what a worthy father, friend and a man should be. He knew all of that but sometimes when things piled up, he couldn't handle all of it. He nodded.

"I'm sorry." he looked down on his hand and shook his head "I let that get to me! Fuck!"

"Hey, it's okay." Sam said.

"No it's not!" he spat out "I should've known! I should've trust you!" he looked at her.

"It's just a picture, taken at a right moment and bitter words said to hurt us." she said.

"What did he said?" he was curious. She glanced at him, seeing him irritated.

"Nothing special. He's just being a yerk." she tried to brush it off.

"Tell me!" he demanded loud. After a moment of regret, she said "He asked Willow if she remembered her. That he almost was her father figure."

"That piece of shit!" Ronnie said "I'm gonna k...!" but Sam cut him off "Don't you dare say it! Ronnie!" she ventilated and said "After all you've been imprisoned for.." she said the end bursting to cry. He looked at her, panting, confused, realizing the depth of his words and how she was hurt by it. He lowered his head in regret, trying to get over his anger.

"His words doesn't mean shit!" Sam said "He failed at being a friend." but seeing him look up and react to a word 'friend', she added quickly "He's nothing. You hear me?" He nodded.

"I miss you so much." she said sad and a tear rolled down from her cheek. Seeing it made him soften his attitude a bit. He hated seeing her cry and knowing that he had made her cry, was the shittiest feeling.

"I miss you too." he said "It has been so hard without you."

"I know." she said "Tell me what you guys been up to." They talked some time, until he had to go.

She was glad they managed to get their emotions under control. That there was no hanging up the phone, breaking things or something worse.

She was preparing dinner when a doorbell rang. She went to answer it, seeing her mother on the screen "Hey. Let me open this for you." she tried to figure out the gate phone. She went to lower the heat on the oven, saying glad to Willow "Granny and grandpa are here!" and went to open the door, glancing at the mirror, passing by it. She pat her cheeks and wiped her under eyes with her fingers.

"Hey!" she stood at the door and let them in.

"Hey sweetheart!" her father said.

"Come in." Sam said and lead them to the living room "I'm making dinner."

"What are you making?" her mom went to peek in the oven "Smells delicious."
"Chicken and some salad." she said "You should stay. I could use a company."

"We'd love to." her mom said and asked from Seth who was playing with Willow "Don't we?"

"Yeah." he said and smiled to his grandchild. Then he stood up and sat on the couch, still looking at Willow. Then he glanced at Sam "You've been crying." She patted her cheeks and said sad "Yeah, um... We had a fight."

Her mom came to sit with her "You told him, didn't you?"

"I didn't have to... Robert sent him a picture of me and Willow." Sam sighed.

"That asshole." Seth said.

"Yeah, well.. these things get to him. Like A LOT!" she bulged her eyes and added "Being on tour, missing us, skipping therapy..." She sighed.

"Robert only adding up to it..." Seth said regretful.

"It hurts me that he thought the worst of me!" she said wiping away tears.

"I'm sure he'll come around eventually." Sam's mom consoled her.

"He did." Sam nodded "But we shouldn't have such problems in the first place." she realized she's losing control over her emotions again so she took dep breath "Anyway, I managed to calm him down.. We'll see when he comes back."

"Why was he there anyway?" she suddenly remembered. Seth let out a scoff, shaking his head "We were so angry at him that we didn't even got to the point!"

"Probably nothing special." her mother added and said "It should've been him who should've left, not you." Sam shook her head "I just had to get away from there. Get Willow away from there."

"Understandable." Seth said when Sam went to check the oven.

"Let me help you set the table." her mom said standing up. They spent the night having dinner together, talking about random things, about the house, what else she was planning to do there. They took a selfie and sent it to Ronnie, her parents sending him best regards.
