She was driving to his place, crying, calling to Ronnie on the way.

"Hey, hon." Ronnie picked up almost immediately but as soon as he heard her sobbing, he asked "What happened? Are you alright??"

"He..he just.. I hate it.. he can't.." she said between the sobs.

"Try to calm down, okay." he said when he heard a car horn and breaks squealing and something breaking.

"Sam! Samantha!" he shouted, hearing her still crying. Her phone had dropped on the floor when she hit the breaks. She sat still, her hands clammed on the wheel, crying, not able to take the phone.

"I'm coming for you! Hold on!" he shouted, grabbing his keys, still on the line. He didn't hear Willow crying so he asked "Is Willow alright?" She had been panicking and crying, not able to control herself but after what Ronnie had asked her she had to get a hold of herself.  She glanced at the rear-view mirror, seeing her still asleep.

"She's sleepin." she said calmer, but the tears were still flowing.

"Are you alright?" he asked concerned "Are you hurt?"

"No, I uh...." she wasn't able to form full sentences "I'm okay." He drove to the location her phone showed, trying to calm her down, all kind of terrifying flashes about car accidents in his mind.
He saw her car parked on the side of the road, headlights on, raindrops dancing on the lightbeams. As he got closer he saw that she had hit a larger rock on the side of the road "What the fuck..." he mumbled, parking his car. He got out quickly and ran to her car"Sam, are you alright?"

As soon as she heard his voice, she started sobbing again, her hands still on the wheel. He checked her and then hurried to the back seat to check on Willow. She was, indeed, sleeping. He went back to Sam and unbuckled her "It's okay. You're okay."

"The car..." she mumbled "It came out of nowhere.. I had to..."

"It's okay.. You're safe." he hugged her and kissed her forehead.

"Let's get you home." he said calm and helped her out.

"Can you walk?" he asked looking at her body. She nodded "I'm fine." He let go of her and took Willow with the safety seat and said "Lets go." They went to his car and Ronnie dialled car tow company while he buckled Willows seat in his car.

"My bag" she pointed helplessly on her car.

"I'll get it." he said confident and went to fetch their bags.

Soon the tow car was there and they could go home.

"My car..." she said after a pause but Ronnie cut her off "...was a piece of shit anyway. Don't sweat it."

"I can't believe I almost had an accident." she cried "Willow..."

"..Is fine!" he convinced her and took her hand "You're fine. That's all that matters."
He drove them at her place and helped her inside, carrying the bags and Willow with her seat. He placed Willow with the seat on the floor and accompanied Sam to the bathroom "Shower." She nodded and started to take her clothes off, her hands shaking. He looked at her struggles and said "Let me."

"Thank you." she said and let him take over.

Once she got in the shower, the trembling eased and she was able to relax a bit. He went to the kitchen and made her tea when her phone rang. He dug it out from her bag, looking at the caller.

"Sam's phone." he answered it.

"Ronnie!" Sandra was surprised and asked worried "Where's Sam? Is she alright?" He took a deep breath to stay calm and said "No she's not."

"What! What happened? Where is she?" she asked already panicking.

"She's taking a shower." he said first to calm her down before he told "She almost had an accident."

"WHAT!??!" Sandra shouted and started to cry.

"Yeah, she called me, crying and then it was breaks and some car horn heard." he said but added quickly "She is alright, bit shaken but I took her home and she's fine." Sandra continued crying so he felt like he had to say something "I'll take care of them, Sandra." Those words meant so much to him and the way he said them must've got to her because she was trying to calm down.

"Thank you, Ronnie." she said sincere.

"I'm not doing it for you." he said cocky and added "Especially not for him! I do it because I want to. I love her."

"I know." she said dragging in her nose "That's what makes you that guy." Hearing her say those words made his heart warm up. Being on good terms with someone close to Sam was without a doubt important to him, but he wasn't gonna brown-nose anybody. To see that Sandra had appreciated that, his blunt honesty, had made him feel good. He was accepted the way he was. He didn't have to pretend anything. He wanted to be out and open with everything regarding to Sam.

"Thank you." he said, suddenly feeling so humble. He heard the shower being shut and said to Sandra "Gotta go. I'll keep you posted." he said and ended the call.

She walked out a minute later, wrapped in her fluffy black bathrobe. He glanced at her "Feeling better?"

She sat on the sofa and Ronnie came to sit with her, handing her the tea cup "Here."

"Thank you." she said, smiling to him slightly. He leaned his elbows on his knees and ran his hands through his hair, sighing. She looked at him, worried "Am I in trouble?"

He looked up and let out a chuckle "No." and sighed "Don't worry about it." patting her thigh. He leaned against the back rest and asked "You wanna tell me what happened at your parents house?"

She took a deep breath "I went there, tried to talk to him, calm. He's just..." she took another deep breath "..so ignorant."

"I'm so sorry." he said sad and took a hold of her arm, giving it a reassuring squeeze.

"He said awful things about you.." she started to cry again "It hurts so much." He looked at her, the Sam he had know as a strong and independent woman, was so fragile at that moment, so hurt. He hated seeing her like that. He himself had made her feel that way once and had promised not to do it again. Or let anyone do that to her ever again.

"Come here." he scooted closer to her and she cuddled against his side. She felt better already. Loved and cared.

So sadly she didn't make it to his place but fortunately Ronnie stormed to the rescue.

What will happen next? She's without a car, sad because her father rejected her.
