Second chances

Soon Ronnie was back on tour. He left with a heavy heart, knowing she will be all on her own with everything after the all-most-accident. Her mom had visited them, feeling so bad about everything. She promised to be on her side and help her in every way. She knew that Sam was too stubborn to ask help, she had seen it for years, especially during the last year. But she promised it to Ronnie anyway. Just so he could go on tour without worrying about Sam.

She was just coming back from the store, Willow on her hip and grocery bag on other, locking the doors of Ronnie's black Escalade SUV.

"Where's your car?" she heard her fathers voice behind her and turned around, her breath hitching.

"Dad!" she said when she got over the first shock and walked to him "I'm surprised to see you here." He looked at the car behind her and said "That one tyre needs to get filled." She looked at him, surprised "That's why you're here? To tell me how to take care of my car?"

"It's yours?" he asked surprised. She could've never afford a car like that.

"No, It's Ronnie's." she said hesitated and added "While he's on tour."

"Where's yours?" he asked. They hadn't told Sam's mom that her car was no good after that night.

"Non functional." she said emotionless.

"Was that incident that bad?" he asked but before she could reply Willow started to be grumpy so she said emotionless"I kinda need to get inside." He looked at Willow and said "Of course." She was about to walk in when she asked "You wanna come in?" She couldn't help to think of how things would be if Ronnie would be there. He'd probably stop him right there on his tracks. He had had enough of this shit long time ago. But she couldn't. From the relief on her fathers face she knew it was the right decision. They walked in, him holding the doors open, trying to help any way he could, only to see that her daughter handled everything well by herself.

"What brings you here?" she asked putting Willow on her activity blanket and walked to the kitchen to unpack the groceries, her fathers eyes following her every move.

"I wanted to apologize for my behaviour." he said regretfully. She looked at him, not believing he  had said that, waiting for more.

"It has been really hard to accept your... choices." he said slow, choosing the right words. Meaning Ronnie. She knew that. "To see the guy who walked over you come back to your life to r..." he said, bit irritated when Sam warned him very calm "You're talking about her father." she pointed on Willow "...so I'd choose my words very carefully." He nodded, clenching his jaw. He knew he was about to step over the line again. He sighed "It has been very hard to accept everything."

"Well, imagine my life. Just delivered my baby, no boyfriend in sight, on my own and you!.. turning your back on me when I needed you the most. She needed you." she nodded towards Willow. She took a deep breath to calm herself "Don't you get that- you rejected us and kept doing that so he'd do the same for us!" He nodded again, regretful.

"That's what makes him mad!" Sam said irritated "He doesn't phase about what you say about him. He has shit thrown on him most of his life. But rejection he can't stand." She wiped a tear from her cheek with a nervous manner, hating that she's crying again. Seth had sat on the sofa, listening her, looking at Willow. He hated himself for being so cold-hearted and ignorant, rejecting Willow. He looked at those beautiful eyes, trying to recognize the similarity of anyone in the family. He felt the pull towards her, so he kneed on the floor in front of her and took a rattle from the ground, shaking it to her. To his surprise Willow grabbed it, looking at him serious. He could see the resemblance with Ronnie, despite his tries to ignore it at first.

"Sometimes I wonder if she has anything from me." Sam said behind him, startling him. He looked over his shoulder and let out a chuckle "Yeah, as much as it annoys to say that, I have to admit- she's her fathers daughter." He looked back at Willow, smiling to her "Aren't you, princess?"

Willow giggled, showing her first tooth.

"She has your dimples." he said looking at Sam and sat on the sofa again "Come sit with me." She sat down, preparing for what was coming, hoping for the best.

"Sam, I can't take back all the things I've said or done.." he shook his head in regret "But seeing you dealing with the consequences like an adult... forgiving everything to him and believing in him, has made me see things differently and makes me hope that you'll find forgiveness for me too." She looked at him, not able to say anything.

"I've seen the way he's genuine with you, he cares about you.." he said and took a deep breath "...and that should be all that I need to worry about. Everything else is.." He didn't finish the sentence cause Sam jumped to him, hugging him. That was all she needed to hear.

"I must admit, I'm still concerned. I'll always be." he said.

"I know." she said and pulled away from the hug, wiping tears "And you don't have to always understand him, accept his actions, neither do I." she rolled her eyes, there was a lot of shit to deal with "..But just accept us. Don't reject him. He has had enough of it." she wiped another tear away. Seth was looking at her so she continued "Everything about his childhood is true- his mother abandoned him and his father had problems of his own." He looked at her, surprised so she explained "Yes, the same guy. Willow's grandfather. How? Simple. He forgave him. So why wouldn't he be the one not worth of second chance?" Seth looked at his daughter, then his granddaughter, nodding. He took a deep breath "I'll try."

"Thank you." she said looking at her through tears. He wiped some off with his thumb and said "No need to cry, sweetheart." She nodded.

Okay, Ron is on tour and Sam's alone. I wonder what happens if and when Ronnie finds out what she's been up to? Thanks for the love!

Now today is Dec 16th, a very special day for Ronnie. Exactly 10 years ago he got out of prison and made the magic happen :D Yesterdays Twitch was crazy and super fun, as much I was able to see it.

Ronnie's such an amazing persona, went through shit but never has he let life fuck him in the face! Always came through, no matter what. It's not how perfect you live your life, without falling. It's the way you stand up after you've stumbled.

He is gold! I wish him the best, may he be surrounded by loved one's and fans. May his music haunt us forever :D

P.s Now I watch the time and it's over midnight. I started to write this on 16th..Whatever, you'll get the point :D
