They went inside and talked for some time, making promises and explaining things. She also told him the cause of her father visiting them- he wanted to make a mens, wanted to take a first step on accepting them as a couple and a family. Ronnie was surprised and shocked, nodding, thinking through all the possibilities and options. The work he had to put in this relationship. Of course he agreed, he had to, in the name of the family he wanted Willow to have. In the end he was glad that he didn't walk away. He learned that whatever was going on between them, he wanted to be home.

The day of the big lunch had arrived. She was getting herself and Willow ready when Ronnie came back from his place where he went to get an outfit for the lunch. She opened the door and Ronnie stood in place seeing her wearing a black skater skirt with white tiny flowers on it, and a cropped dark grey t-shirt and black stilettos, hair loose.

"Holy shit!" he said and walked in grabbing her in his embrace "We're not going anywhere." making Sam giggle. He backed them to the sofa and pushed her on it and crawled over her. After some kisses she asked curious "What did you bring?" He was pulled back to the reality "Um just some clean jeans and um blazer." and sat up.

"Show me." she demanded, sitting up. He changed his clothes in front of her, smirking and chuckling, giving her teasing and dirty looks. When he was done, he took a step backwards and widened his hands, grin on his face.

"Perfect!" she said pleased. He had an amazing taste and everything he put on, looked absolutely sexy on him. He reached his hand to her and she stood up, taking it. He lead them in front of the mirror and they looked at themselves from the reflection. He seemed pleased, his dreamy eyes on her, his hand on her hip slowly sliding on her butt, making her blush. Then Willow made some noises from her activity blanket so they came out of their moment.

"Someone's ready to go." he said grinning. They took Willow and their stuff and went to the car. The tension was in the air way before they reached to her parents place. The music was playing but their thoughts were clearly on something else.

"You nervous?" she asked looking at him. She could feel his hand around hers, cold and sweaty.

"No." he said grinning and added quickly, dead-serious "Yes." She was still amazed by his ability to change his impressions and voice within a second. He was talented at that.

"You're gonna be okay." she said, squeezing his hand. He nodded and grinned again, nervously. He parked the car, Sam took Willow and Ronnie took a bag of goodies to her parents.

They walked to the door, hand in hand, changing last stares.

"I love you." she said when she heard footsteps inside. That made him grin wide just for the time her parents opened the door. He got serious again.

"Hi sweetheart!" Sandra greeted Sam and took Willow "Come here, sweetie!" Sam hugged her dad "Hi dad." and giving him a warning look when pulling away from the hug. A look that would say "He's very important to me. Behave!"

Ronnie had hugged Sandra and gave her the chocolate assortment he had bought from the tour. Then Sandra stepped on the side and Ronnie was standing face to face with Steven.

"Hello." he said with all the respect he had. Knowing that Ronnie wasn't someone who'd brown-nose someone, Sam felt like he really wanted to be a part of her family and wanted to be accepted in it.

"Just Steven" Sam's dad said polite, unemotionally.

"Steven." Ronnie repeated and they shook hands. Sam couldn't tell if the air was thick or she just imagined it because she was nervous.

"Lunch is this way." Sandra suddenly said and pointed towards the dining room. They went there and sat down, Sam and Sandra each side of Steven, Ronnie next to Sam and Willow next to Sandra.

Steven took a bottle Ronnie had brought and looked at it "Good stuff."

"The best." Ronnie said, smiling slightly, giving random glances at Sam.

"Care to have a taste?" Steven asked, looking an answer from Ronnie.

"No thanks." he said politely.

"It's okay." Steven said "I'm not testing you in any way, I promise." chuckling in the end.

"No it's not that." Ronnie said  politely and looked at Sam, her holding his hand "I actually wanted to tell you this.." Everybody's eyes on him, waiting, making him feel so out in the open.

"I've decided to stay completely sober from now on." he said, looking at Sam and added "Well, since the last time I drank on tour."

"Really?" she asked with a shivering voice.

"Yeah." he said and explained, looking at others too "I do stupid shit when I drink. I feel like why even bother to tease myself with just one drink when I know there's no in between." They all nodded, approving his point.

"And we all know I can't afford myself to fuck everything up." he said looking at Willow and then Sam. Steven looked at Ronnie, comprehending what he had heard.

"Fair point." Steven said serious and put the bottle away.

"Don't let it stop you." Ronnie said with a slight smile.

"No." Steven said "I think it's the right thing to do." He could see Sam being thankful to him. She also thought it would be wise  for Ronnie to cut off alcohol completely, but she knew he had to come up with it by himself. And now he had. She felt glad, everything was possible. She could see their bright future together. Sober future.

"Well, dig in then." Sandra said glad.

They ate and chit-chatted. She could sense the tension was still in the air but a big breakthrough had happened- Her father wasn't opposed to their relationship anymore. She could see that the more they interacted, the more her dad was accepting him. But that didn't surprised her. His good looks aside, Ronnie was indeed very fetching persona, his stories were intriguing and he was giving them his full attention, his voice compelling her parents. They just had to give him a chance, to listen him, to understand him. She looked him talking about something, then his parents, glad that everything was going smoothly. She remembered the old Ronnie just to appreciate the Ronnie sitting next to her at the moment. They were two different persons. And she was glad she hadn't let the first one scare her away.
