She went to work and had to deal with the shitstorm that was about to hit her for the previous  night. She also had to clean up the place as usual. When she cleaned the table Ronnie had been sitting with his friends, she found his phone between the sofa, with his credit card in the card pocket. She took the card, reading the name on it and said out loud "Ronald." She checked his phone, seeing a bunch of messages and missed calls. She put the phone in her back pocket and continued cleaning. In the afternoon his phone rang and she answered it "Ronnie's phone."

"You..." Ronnie said.

"I found your shit between the sofa." she said unemotionally.

"Okay." he said tired "Thanks."

"Yeah. Feel free to come and get it." she said.

"I will." he replied. She felt glad that she'd see him sober. But he didn't come that night. So she kept the things for safekeeping. She went home that night and stood on place for a moment, observing her apartment. The bed was messy, her shower towel was on the floor. He had drank the coffee she had made.  She imagined him in her home, trying to get over his hangover, taking a shower and drinking coffee. It made her blush and feel the warmth inside but then she remembered that obviously his promises didn't meant anything for him.

On the weekend she was working in night shift again when he came there with his crew again, different girls hanging on his arm. Sam felt annoyed when they walked pass her like she didn't existed, his one friend saying "I don't get it, why we keep coming back to this shitty bar.." making Sam roll her eyes.

"Hey." he said, coming to her after a while.

"Hey. What can I get you?" she asked like she always would've asked.

"You have something that belongs to me." he said to her.

"Oh yeah..." she said and went to dig in her bag. She took out his phone with his card. He checked if it was still there.

"Really?" she asked looking at him "Dude, I left you to sleep in my place!" offended by the lack of trust after she had left him alone in her place.

"One could never be sure." he said checking his phone, realizing it was fully charged.

"Thanks." he said lifting his phone up and put it in his back pocket.

"What's your poison for tonight?" she asked rolling her eyes.

"The usual." he said and paid. He stayed to look at her serving the drinks. She glanced at him "I'll bring you these to the table." He looked at her for a moment, then marched away, walking to his friends. She took the tray and walked to them. She could see him looking at her body. She had leather jeans shorts, net stockings, black combat boots on, back crop top on, long blonde highlight hair loose.

"Here you go." Sam said smiling to him.

"Thanks, Sam." Ronnie looked her under his brows, making everybody at the table to shut up and look at him. Sam walked away, hearing one of the chicks say "Sam? Like Samuel?" Guys cheering for him loud, probably thinking they fucked. She rolled her eyes, walking behind the bar counter and glanced at him, seeing him grinning wide.

Fucking asshole, she thought and greeted a customer, still looking at him. He sat there, looking restless.

Chris came from the back room and saw them "Are we going to have problems with this guy, Sam?" She shook her head "No." The truth was that she herself didn't know that. She didn't know him. At all.

"Just keep him on the leash or I have to throw him out." he said quiet. She nodded seeing Ronnie look at their way.

"You wouldn't, tho." she said chuckling "He's a good customer."

"True." he said "Just, keep things under control, okay." She nodded and showed to her co-worker her hand holding a cigarette. She showed thumbs up.

She went out and leaned against the wall, sighing out smoke.

"What was that all about?" Ronnie came to her from the street, dragging his cigarette.

"Funny. I should ask you the same." she said scoffing.

"Me?" he asked grinning "What did I do?"

"I heard them, you know." Sam said a bit pissed "You're an ass for letting them think that there's something going on... what are you doing?" Ronnie came standing in front of her, close to her face, looking at her lips, the corners of his mouth bit upwards. He took a hold of her chin and kissed her. She tried to push him away but then grabbed his jacket, replying to the kiss. Then he pulled away and walked back inside. She stood there, in shock, turned on but also pissed because he was most likely a player. She threw away her cigarette and went inside, patting her flushed cheeks.

She glanced at him, seeing him sit there, leaned back, pleased grin on his face. Then the chicks came back from the toilet and sat next to him, stuck on his both sides like stickers. Sam rolled her eyes, seemingly pissed and continued to serve drinks. It was busy night. She got a lot of tips and shots bought to her. She could see he watched her from time to time. He went to buy some more drinks. At one point some of his friends were leaving with the chicks. As they were saying goodbye the chicks tried to get him come along. He hugged them one by one, receiving kisses on his cheeks. But his drunk eyes were on Sam. For a moment it seemed that he was going along, letting one chick drag him towards the door but he shook his head. He sat back on the couch with the remaining friends. At some point Sam went to clean out their table. He looked her every move, waiting.

"Is there anything I could get you, guys?" she asked friendly.

"Your number." Ronnie said grinning, making the guys laugh out loud.

"No?" she asked smirking and pointed towards the bar "I'll be there if you need me." and walked away with the full tray, him looking at her ass.

"That's why we've been coming back here?" his friend Charlie asked "For a pussy!?" Others laughing around them.

"Yeah.." he said compelled and said "I guess I am."

"But it seems that she's not giving any." Charlie said chuckling. Ronnie glanced at him, clenching his jaw. He knew it was the truth and it bugged him.

"C'mon, Ron! You've got loads of bitches. Beautiful honeys, willing to do all kind of shit." Charlie tried to persuade him. Ronnie nodded. He didn't need another one, especially a mediocre one. He wasn't gonna run behind anyone. He nodded again and they downed another shots.

That night he left with his friends, leaving her confused, cleaning their table. She reminded their kiss, touching her lips. He had been so demanding and submissive, his breath shivering, his scent still in her nose. She went home and fell on her bed, his scent present.
