It was the next day and Lee decided to stay with Florence in the night and he made himself a bed on the floor. He had convinced her to come to lessons today agreeing that she didn't need to talk to Fred or see him, not yet as she was not in the right state to talk to him at this point in time.

She was now perched on the counter, she still felt numbness all over her body and she hadn't smiled for more than three weeks which was weird for a girl that was always smiling. But I think everyone knew the reason the girl that resembled happiness wasn't smiling, she was without the one who brought her that happiness.

Lee was doing some light makeup on her, as she sat there in silence as he applied blush to her cheeks with a brush. He was actually very good at makeup, but it didn't make her feel any less ugly and useless then she did right now.

'There done.' Lee smiled a bit at her, but she didn't even bother to turn and look at herself because she knew she couldn't even bring herself to look at her reflection.

'Thanks Lee.' She gave a half-hearted look, her expression still dull and in pain.

'Come on you little shit, I need to see you smile. Or I'm afraid I might die.' He said dramatically.

Her lips turning upwards only slightly.

'Ah! Ah. I see a smile.' He smiled widely. Then her lips turned upwards into a proper smile.

'There it is. God how I've missed that.' Lee chuckled.

'I will punch you in the throat.' She smiled wider.

'And how I've missed your sarcasm.' Lee said squishing her face and she let a small giggle. Feeling safe with Lee, and she hadn't felt the aspect of feeling protected since Fred left her. He did up her tie and she rolled up her skirt which made him laugh. She did her hair up and got ready to head to breakfast.

Florence had her breakfast and walked on her own to class. Her hood up with her books in her hands scared to talk to anyone.

She went down a corridor and suddenly she collided into someone and her books fell out her hands. The brown-haired girl looked up and saw him. Fred staring down at her, anger in his eyes. She didn't recognise him, he had nothing, but fury painted on his face.

'Watch where you're going.' He snapped.

'Dick.' She muttered.

'What did you just call me?' He said gritted his teeth angrily, now stepping closer to her as she walked back away from him. Her back now on the cold, stone corridor wall. He moved his arm and he placed it above her head on the wall.

'A fucking dick.' Florence spat, looking up at him, not removing her eyes from his. He licked his lips nothing but hatred in his expression but that didn't make them want each other any less. She needed to resist the urge to smack her lips on his. He wanted nothing to do with her but at the same time he wanted to touch every part of her body.

Before he could do anything he would regret, he took his arm off the wall and left her, walking out of the corridor. Flustered and she was now breathing heavily at how close they were only moments ago. Then she picked up her books and headed to her lessons.
